I find this reel nice overall, but the drag comes on very suddenly within 4 clicks. When loose, the first two turns basically doesn't change anything. I would be nice if they were able to give us a more gradual progression of drag. As the star wheel has comfortable shape to push, you do feel the drag tightening up through the star, which is a good thing. But if you like to use light tackle, your line might break because the drag is very strong and sudden. It holds a lot of braided line and has clicker. Although I have casted it, I can also use it for trolling because of the clicker. The price is getting up there and it is debatable to go Shimano or not. Shimano only use 4 bearings, the secrets of bearings is Shimano have precise manufacturing, which makes all parts fit together and spin without friction.. they are nice and very salt water resistant, but I don't know about Piscifun long term. ... show more

It’s a little on the heavy side but it casts quite well. A carbon fiber handle would have been nice. I loaded it with 65lb test braid. Clicker 👌🏻8.1 rips em in. Bearings in the knobs could have been better. Mags work nicely. Level wind nice as well. I’m happy. Even if it only means that I’ll just be practicing in a back tidal rivulets. Small snapper blues. Not even champion Crappie fighting size. Crappie taste better. At that size both are ok. CRAPPIE FIRST. RUMOR HAS IT THAT THEY MOVE OFF THE SHELVES FAST. NOT MY FIRST RODEO EITHER. I HAVE ONE MORE OF THERE CASTING REALS . BFS, no complaints either but I switched out the spool support bearings for some ceramic HP corrosion resistant models. No Complaints YET ! 🦈 ... show more

This reel is fantastic, saltwater fishing on a party boat in RI for Fluke and Seabass caught some hefty Seabass in 70 feet of water and this reel had the backbone to reel them up with ease. Definitely would recommend this reel , great bang for the buck💲

The media could not be loaded. Im extremely happy with this reel, the clicker is so load and it cast big bait like a dream. Every cast is smooth not a single bird nest and the reeling power is outstanding. I do wish the color more matched yhe picture and was more purple, my reel looks more blue.
