  • How do I leave 6 stars?
Size: 180/55-ZR17 (73W)
Talk above TOP performance and TOP safety in the same tire! (2006-600-CBR-RR. Steel braided brake lines, K&N oil and air filter, 4T Mobil1 synthetic racing oil, Two Brothers Racing Exhaust, Dyno Jet Power Commander III, NKG IR Laser Iridium Premium spark plugs and "Engine Ice" performance coolant) I've been riding Pirelli tires for 9 years now and absolutely love them! My Honda has always had Pirelli tires and I'll never ride another tire. Why? For 4 years I rode the Diablo Rossa Corsa and for the last 5 years went to the Diablo Rosso II. I swear these tires have saved my life in some instances... I haven't rode track yet, but ride hard, fast and aggressive in all street conditions. I've been up to 155 on the highways dropping sports cars in seconds, take turns aggressively and when leaning, never a mm of slip! I chill a little bit when it rains, hails or snows of course, ha! These tires are a little more expensive then some tires, but well worth every penny! I've averaged anywhere from 4,000-5,500 per tire and likely could have gone more. Moderate riders will likely get much more, as long as your not burning smoke stacks! I always change at safety line and do both tires to keep them paired in traction and wear. The rear wear stays very close to front wear, likely because of my aggressive turning and Pirelli's superb build. Dual compound is harder at the center for integrity and softer at sides for super grip in leans. ~Couple great stories~ I once found a nail in my rear tire when I got to work and panicked thinking I'd have a flat after my shift. Nope... So I rode home 25 miles across the bay bridge from SF, into East Bay and pulled the nail out when I got home. The next day, the tire was still holding air fine, what?!! This was a full size construction nail! I was a little hard up on cash, so rode the tire for over another 1,500 miles easy, just put a little air in now and then. Stupid I know, but exploits my testament as to why these tires are so amazing! I learned my lesson though. Finally after another late night shift months later, 2am, the tire was finally flat! So I drove 2 miles at 5mph on a flat tire to a gas station to get some fix a flat and managed to get home again 25 miles on the highway! At 50 mph, in the rain and having to stop halfway to dose another can of fix a flat, I actually got home! It was a mess, but I got home safe and sound and without a costly tow! I then used gorilla glue to patch the hole, put more air back in and drove it to the shop to have another Rosso II put on. I rode home from Vegas one time (550 miles). In the first two hours, I got rained on, then rain turned into hail, then hail turned into snow and I swear the roads started to ice over! I exited to check the road traction and the snow stopped, so I continued on this thin glass layer of ice to get out of the mountains. I was skeptical and nervous, but never slipped or went down, stayed up for it all. Crossing the Mojave Dessert, I got hit with super strong wind currents! Probably 35-50mph winds, maybe more at times. I've never experienced currents like that on two wheels! I literally couldn't drive over 50 mph without risking getting blown over. At times the winds would gust super strong and I had to release the gas to allow the transmission to slow me down to 35-40mph to keep the bike on the ground!!! Nucking Futs, crazy s***! I should have stopped for a hotel, but after 3 days in Vegas, you just want to get home, haha! This was maybe 8 years ago. These tires saved me time and time again and never slipped or let me down through it all!! One slip factor is wet man holes or newly painted cross walks when wet, but every tire will experience that in wet conditions on those surfaces. These tires wet on asphalt, not even a blink. It's scary how well they grip. After 9 years I've put on 40,000 miles and I think 6-7 sets of Pirelli's. That's actually an average of 5,700 miles with each set...average. I will always ride this tire on my CBR. My one gripe is Pirelli advertises custom tire labeling on their web site, but only offers this service if your a Europe or UK resident! That's bull honky. Still love them and will always ride them though. ... show more

  • Stickier than your mom lol
Size: 180/55-ZR17 (73W)
holds a line better than king theoden but lives about as long as long as a fish fly. Very nice tire but for how long it lasts id go with the cheaper, equally performing dunlop q3+. Unless you have 200hp and a deathwish this tire has more stick than youd ever need for the road.

  • Good traction, confidence inspiring
Size: 180/55-ZR17 (73W)
I was expecting from the price that these would be old stock but the date code said less than a year. It took more weight to balance than I would have liked, but that’s a pretty minor consideration. Tire profile is a lot taller/sharper than the Q3 I replaced, but I only replaced the rear so it doesn’t feel that different. Speaking of feel, the tire does feels planted. I didn’t really push it but I got some slip going around a sandy curve. Didn’t really give as much warning as I like but I knew it was slipping. I know there are people who would prefer not to have the scare of a noticeably slipping tire- good choice for those people. ... show more

  • Great tires
Size: 180/55-ZR17 (73W)
I've tried many tires but these I'm going to stick with they have completely change the way my bike feel and handle, these tires absorbs bumps like if your suspension is electronic and it grips well just don't lean to much on a wet surface cause you will slide These tires have a smooth sticky side at the end of your sidewall which is only designed for racing on a dry surface not wet so be careful, also they don't flick as fast as the Mitcheln 54-55° because of its angle but it's very controlled. These pirelli are about 45-48° so you will fell a difference but as it wear down that degree will grow, overall I like these tires and the comfort and confidence it brings ... show more

  • Fantastic all around tire.
Size: 180/55-ZR17 (73W)
These are a fantastic set of road tires they are my second set or I probably wouldn't review them yet. Got 3000 miles out of the last set on a very high torque buell xb12r. I tend to ride very "spirited" most of the time and still get very good life out of these. The wet performance is very good for regular riding and the cold weather performance is superb. I can ride confidently into the 20s. Track performance is very good also though no substitute for a good supersport if your heading out for a track day. I've put the knee down a few times on these but wouldn't suggest it. They are deffinitly a superior street and canyon tire. Deffinitly a tire I will continue to buy as long as they're around. ... show more

Best all around tire for my 04 R1. The combination front and rear provides the bike with great feel. It does not tuck in a hard corner like other tires that I've tried.
