I have an older (2005!) RV that came with a stereo and speakers that would have been considered really poor quality back in the 8 track days, and as I upgraded the stereo that came with it to a modern receiver I decided to add some better speakers - these filled the bill. More bass than expected and far better highs. I have another pair coming to replace the other two speakers. Not too hard to install; I did have to look a bit to find the polarity, which is not marked on the speaker but on the box flap. I cut the old clips off and installed the new ones with a couple of blue butts and was good to go. If your expectations are not awfully high I think you will be pretty pleased. ... show more

My stock speakers in my 2007 Buick Lucerne were blown, and these worked as a perfect replacement for them. They're not crazy loud, but that's probably for the best because I would wreck my hearing if they were. The sound was much much better than the stock speakers. I bought these to replace my factory speaker and they didn’t disappoint me, generally I am a Kenwood person but decided to give these a try and so far sound quality has been quite impressive. Only complaint I could have is the included speaker cables which are only about 10” long and not enough to run all the way to the radio itself which was not a big issue as I used the factory wiring and a couple of quick connector but really would have like to had the option to run all the way to the head unit not enough to down this product as most will use factory wiring and splice in. But years ago you would have got a 10 to 15 foot run of cable. ... show more

If you are a total audio file then these probably will not suit your needs but if you just want to improve your factory stereo, these are so cheap and such an upgrade for most stock systems that there is no reason not to.

Let me be clear I love pioneer products but this is just and unfortunate situation. I installed two new door speakers on my car and I do not play my music very loud. One of the speakers has already blown but the other sounds great.
