This screen was easy to install—just a wire harness, and it worked great. It fit my truck well, even though it originally didn’t have a screen, so I had to make a few adjustments. Once installed, it was perfect. The Bluetooth connectivity is solid, automatically pairing with my phone every time I start the car. The EQ adjustments allow for good sound customization, and the screen layout is intuitive. I specifically bought this for wireless Apple CarPlay, and it works flawlessly. Maybe once in 100 times, it won’t connect right away, but that only happens when I’m running multiple errands with frequent car restarts. One minor issue is that when my car starts, it connects to my phone but doesn’t always open Apple CarPlay automatically. Instead, it sometimes displays a basic media screen with my phone’s music, showing skip, pause, album art, and song info. It’s not a dealbreaker, but I’d prefer if it defaulted to CarPlay instead. Android auto will not connect i have the usb connected from the phone to the stereo, it will charge the phone but the android auto icon won't light up and if I press it it just says connect to usb, which I already am. I paid extra to make sure I got a reputable brand and I'm fairly disappointed right now. UPDATE: changed to 5 stars. did some googling and found out i needed a cord that stated specifically that it was for data transfer. Got one for 13 bucks and everything works perfectly. This pushes really good sound to my speakers and has tons of customization on the equalizer. ... show more

    • Great Multimedia Receiver with a Few Missed Opportunities

I’ve been using the Pioneer DMH-W3000NEX for several months now, and it’s a solid upgrade for my car’s audio and entertainment system. The 6.8" capacitive touchscreen is vibrant and responsive, making it a breeze to navigate menus, use wireless Apple CarPlay, and stream music via Bluetooth. The sound quality is excellent, thanks to the 13-band equalizer and high-quality audio components, which let me fine-tune the output to match my speakers perfectly. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay work flawlessly, and the built-in Amazon Alexa is a nice touch for hands-free control. The L-shaped chassis made installation straightforward in my vehicle, and the included backup camera input is a handy feature for safer parking. However, there are a couple of things I wish were different, keeping it from a 5-star rating. First, I really wish it had a dedicated front camera input. Having only a rear-view camera input feels limiting, as a front camera would be great for tight parking or off-road situations. Second, the camera inputs are analog (RCA composite), and I’d prefer digital camera inputs for sharper, higher-resolution video. Analog works fine, but digital would be a step up in clarity, especially on such a nice display. Overall, the Pioneer DMH-W3000NEX is a fantastic multimedia receiver with great connectivity and sound. If you’re okay with just a rear camera and analog inputs, it’s a great choice.     • Please read this before you purchase Pioneer products

Nice radio in many ways. But one of my requirements was to be able to use this with steering wheel controls. This unit is advertised as being compatible with steering wheel controls, and this is also printed clearly on the box it came in. Unfortunately, there is no mention of how to enable this feature in the directions. Nor is there any additional information on the Pioneer website. I called the number for technical support, but they refused to offer any information. They stated that they could only help professional installers. I called several times, pointing out that the unit is advertised to work with steering wheel controls, and it is sold directly to consumers, as opposed to only being available to installers, but Pioneer refused to help. I asked if there was any technical documentation or noted they could send me and I would figure it out on my own, they refused. I understand that it would have been likely that I needed to buy an adapter or additional interface, but again they would give me no information. I thought Pioneer was a good company, but obviously this was incorrect. I would strongly advise buying another brand that is transparent in their advertising and offers technical support to customers. The game of “our product has this feature!” And then “We can’t tell you how to enable that feature, it’s a secret” is not okay. ... show more

    • Wireless Android Auto is the best!

Looks and works great. The unit fits right into the dash, and looks like it belongs there. Connects wirelessly to Android Auto, I have not had any connection issues. Unlike my previous 2023 Subaru, that required a cable to connect to android auto and it still didnt work. The sound quality is great!
