I didn’t like this stereo. I absolutely hated the brackets it came with. We had to use the original toyota prius 2009 metal brackets since the one that came with it is the most wonky crappy thing you can imagine. For this steep price I expected better quality. The screen buttons were kindof ok but I personally didn’t like it . If its for an elder the touch buttons to the left are awfully small. I felt this stereo was extremely difficult to install. Initially the screen went black and wouldn’t turn back on, something that really frustrated and freaked me as I thought that I would not be able to return it. My aftermarket camera wouldn’t work with this. The entire installation was a nightmare. I would have looked into another one had I been informed of these terrible brackets. Pioneer should come up with something better quality than what they are providing. I bought an after market face dash and it was awful . It paired decently to my phone and the touch tabs were ok . The touch apps were big and bright, the light dimming was also ok. But it didnt work with my backupcanera which was the biggest disappointment. My husband will check the wiring later to see jf something broke with the wiring. We went through a lot trying to understand this stereo system and made me not like it. I don’t recommend this product. At least not for this car. UPDATE::: so we come to find out that this system doesn’t play in AHD (high definition) for the backup camera. My husband spliced one of the green cable (part of the camera wiring harness) which made the camera work. However, the image was significantly reduced and grainy at night. It was ok during the day. But I didn’t like that the image didn’t seem to work as well due to this display not supporting high definition (big let down). In the end we connected all 4 new speakers and new camera and it all worked as expected and it turned out fine. If i had known about the brackets and the AHD issues I would have definitely looked for a different screen display system. Overall this stereo worked, i recommend looking for a more updated brand or version. . I think pioneer needs to do some updating on their systems. ... show more

Looks and works great. The unit fits right into the dash, and looks like it belongs there. Connects wirelessly to Android Auto, I have not had any connection issues. Unlike my previous 2023 Subaru, that required a cable to connect to android auto and it still didnt work. The sound quality is great!

Install was straight forward, very nice screen and the buttons on the side don’t get in the way of anything, the audio adjustability is plenty for any needs needed, the only complaint is the picture quality isn’t as good as expected but I was used to it after a few days 4/5 because of this wireless apple CarPlay hasn’t given me any issues connects very quickly and works appropriately definitely a good upgrade for someone wanting maps and such on their radio ... show more

I don’t like that the dimming feature on the screen does not work correctly. During the day, I have to have it bright in order to be able to see it properly and when I drive at night time, the screen is too bright, and if I’m already driving, there’s no way for me to be able to dim the screen because it says that “functionality are unsafe to operate while driving” which is BS to me because if the screen is too bright and it’s sort of blinding my eyes that’s a safety hazard. Second of all pioneers such a cheap ass at cutting cost. it’s like you used to provide a remote control and all your units that was very essential especially if you didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a modular or an adapter to connect your steering wheel controls. Having a touch button isn’t always accurate versus having a physical button to push to either lower, raise or mute the volume. That goes for the rest of the buttons as well I would rather much prefer actual buttons on the screen. Third whenever I’m on a phone call I cannot exit out of the screen to use the rest of the functions of the stereo. It’s like if I’m trying to use my GPS but the screen is stuck on the phone call what is the purpose of me paying hundreds of dollars on aftermarket screen when my stock stereo was able to do multiple functions?. And fourth the stereo does not come with two custom equalizer preset’s that you can customize yourself. It only gives you ONE when previous units used to be able to give you two. If I would’ve known that this head unit only gives you one. I would’ve never purchased two units but because I waited to install the stereo because I was installing sound dampening material by the time I installed the head unit by return window at closed and I got stuck with this lousy stereo ... show more

I just installed this on my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek and it worked well using the Maestro RR interface module and the iDatalink ADS-MIC 1. Everything works really well. Just a tip to anyone installing on their own: If you end up using the Metra Dash Kit, keep the factory brackets when you take out your OEM head unit. Don’t use the plastic ones that come with the Metra Dash Kit, they aren’t threaded and don’t fit well. Other than that, it works really well and I’m happy with it. ... show more
