Very punchy bass and pronounced upper highs. They have a strong dip in the upper mid frequencies and highs so voices and some electric guitar and other instruments in that range lack a lot of detail. They can play very loud (did I say punchy bass already?) and stay very clear doing so. I would recommend them for a DJ searching for a budget monitor speaker. If you are looking for for a speaker that plays more neutral, for daily music listening, you should look somewhere else. I wished the switch on the back that is supposed to switch between DJ and Production would fix the dip in the upper mid and highs. It is a little more neutral on production but by far not enough. The sound is tiring for longer listening. It's still a decent computer speaker for the price. ... show more

I really was not expecting that much from these small bookshelf speakers, but they are quite impressive. My son uses them with his Pioneer DJ board, but with the bluetooth option, he can also use them to play audio from his phone and just about any modern device. doesn’t turn on 90% of the time. i wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so i used them for about 3 months, and they were horrible. hooked them up to my ddj and they wouldn’t produce sound each time except once, and i had to mess with all of the plugs in order to do so.
