If you were on the fence like I was here is you sign to purchase this baby! We have real reborns made by artist and we have Amazon and Ebay dolls . This is not dissapointing at all! We were looking to buy a cheaper baby for our grandma who is in her 80s because she loves my daughter's reborns and is so filled with Joy each time we show her a new one, we decided this would be the way to go for her birthday! Im so glad we did! This baby has mottling and blushing in all the right places ,adorable painted on hair and a magnet for a pacifier. The baby comes with a cheapie fake looking pacifier but it will work with a magnetic pacifier you make it have as well! I also think the bottle and outfit the baby came with us adorable! The nipple of the bottle is a plastic fake nipple but still pretty realistic and honestly the outfit was so well made I would put it on a real child! ... show more

The paint job on this doll is beautifully done. There are little veins on the skin and the skin is very soft and life like. It is a realistic looking doll, but you can still tell it is a doll. I really like how it can be positioned. Its arms and legs move easily and its very posable. It kind of collapses into you like a real baby. However, its not weighted at all. The materials weigh a little over a pound but there is no additional weight. It is only stuffed with cotton and it is slightly overstuffed. The biggest issue I have is that the head is very small. It's no where near the size of a newborn head. Bows and hats are way too big and fall off. It makes the doll look disproportionate. But, you get what you pay for. This is a good first level realistic type doll. I would not really call it a reborn. If you're willing to put some work into it, it can be made to be more realistic. I removed the limbs and head and added my own weight. I also left the tie around the head looser so the head flops and moves more like a real baby. That made a big difference and didn't cost that much either. ... show more
