I buy a lot of cheap headphones. These are, by far, the best bang for buck, most reliable, with best sound quality headphones in the sub $10 range. I think they're better than pretty much any headphones in the sub $20, maybe $30 range. Sound Quality 4/5: Solid. 5/5 for this price range. Similar to the $15 and even $30 skull candy in-ear buds. Durability 5/5: these have lasted FAR longer than any skull candy's I've had, and these are cheaper 0_0. I'm on my second pair in 4 years, which is crazy crazy long for me. Sound Quality Bonus 6/5: For those of you who blast music, but don't like others judging you about it, these are the quietest to outsiders I've ever had. Seriously. Like, blast music this loud on Beats and the whole world can sing along. On these, if you're on full blast, someone RIGHT next to you can MAYBE hear the beat, but even 2-3 seats away wouldn't be able to. Turn it down two notches and no one will hear. Mic 2/5: Not a great mic for calls, but at least can use to pause/play music. Bass 3/5: Bass is average. Not much, but not muted. BUT it's also not overpowering over other sounds like most "heavy bass" cheap headphones do. Sound ranges are pretty even across music genres. You can't deliver good bass for $10, so I'm just glad they nailed the sound quality. ... show more

10/17/18 Before finding these about a year and a half ago, I bought and tried probably 5 earbuds. All were just off sound quality, comfort etc. I saw these in a store and tried it. LOVE THEM! Used them heavily 6 times a week with my phone (Spotify says I listened to 56,997 minutes of music in 2018). However, after so many times jamming them into my purse, pulling to untangle them, and picking up my phone by lifting my headphones-- slowly the sound went in and out in one ear. I ended up buying three more earbuds from my local CVS and Walmart to replace the old one, but I hated each one. I tracked this one down again on the internet. I recieved my earbuds in the mail, and they do look different than before. Made in the Philippines instead of China. My biggest concern is the mic. There is no hole like in the old ones. Time will tell. 12/8/18 I have been using these as heavily as I did the first pair, and all still going well. Comfort is good and sound quality the same. I have yet to make a call with these, so still not sure about the mic quality. But overall, I think this is a great product for the price and better than any other earbud. It also comes with different sized squishy things for your ear if you have smaller or larger ear canals. If this lasts a year and a half like the first pair, I would say I plenty got my money's worth. ... show more

These headphones work and are a great value for the price. The sound quality isn’t as good through these as other types of headphones with a tinnier sound quality. The mic works good but it is a little bit bigger than some brands. My biggest issue is that the button on the mic is too easy to hit. I like to listen to audio books in night and with this pair of headphones I’m constantly bumping the pause/siri button. I also have accidentally bumped it several times with them out when someone comes in to ask a question. This resulted in the book reading without me noticing for a couple minutes. Overall for the price they work well. I have always liked this brand for headphones without mics which seem to not have that tingy sound quality to them. So I am not sure why adding the mic changed the sound quality. But like I said, every other headphone is typically at least 1/3 times more expensive and they are long lasting so overall I do recommend own. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These are excellent earbuds. The sound quality is great. They look good. They have a mic feature so I can use this along with my cell phone. You can click the Mic button to answer your phone or pause video or music too. I have a Android phone. I feel as though it was a good value for the money I used this to stay fit at the gym. I've been through a lot of earbuds over the years and just about every major manufacture in the low-to-mid range category (and a few of the obscure ones too.) The result is that I only buy JVC gumy. They started as a fallback but with the last few generations they've migrated up to being my go-to. The sound is good (very well balanced for my preferences [ranging from audiobooks, rock, ambient, and electronic], with more than adequate clarity and bass) and they last as long as any earbud can be expected to (I usually go through two a year, which was also the case with higher end earbuds I tried. I use them a lot and the straight plug is a basic failure point for wired earbuds.) But they are very cheap and generally available. I don't know what I'd do if JVC ever discontinued the gummies without a direct successor (maybe kick my audio habit), but for as long as they keep making them they're THE earbuds for me. Microphone quality is also perfectly acceptable (I also use these for skype calls, no issues.) ... show more
