I tried purchasing the fine size of these Pilot G2 Pens first, and I didn't like them at all. So I decided to give this brand one more try since they are "#1 Selling Gel Pens", as claimed on their packaging. This time I purchased the "Bold" 1.0 mm version of these pens (which seem more like normal than "bold" to me), and they are just what I was expecting! I had a few "skips" when I first started using them - which really bothered me, but after getting the ink flowing, I haven't had that problem again. Great gel pens! Nice colors. :-) ... show more

    • Great pen, great colors
When I used to work as an office manager, I always wrote all my notes and memos in red pen, so they'd be easily identifiable as mine. I tried several brands of pens, and this one was the best. I ended up buying packs of these in blue and black for the rest of the office because they were so popular. I read that using multiple colors improves retention when studying, so I used a multi-colored pack to take notes and write in my study guide when I studied for a GRE subject test, and it really did seem to help. They'd also be great for a bullet journal, or for an office-wide version of what I did with red pens. In a small office, each person could use their own color, and you'd always know at a glance whose notes you were reading. I use these pens to journal and they are so much fun! I have a bold, inky, heavy handwriting style so the Bold 1.0 mm size was perfect. I wish Pilot would swap out the burgundy and add papaya/pumpkin orange to cover all hues of the rainbow. Besides that I highly recommend!

    • Good for marking up my pages, show up well, economical.
Strong colors that show up well to contrast the blue and black I write in. I use the other colors for color coding and corrections. I need bold lines because my eyesight is poor, and this is the best group in this point width I have found. The colors seem to last as long as the blue pens, and I buy several packs to have one in my bag with my tablet and hard copy. Red ink is traditional, which I use with green, and the purple stands out in the words. Brown in upper right I use to do quantity counts per page without hunting., leaving the orange to hit me with a sharp not that something is out of the ordinary. Ink runs smoothly and does not smear on pages or my hands. This is not tge giant box of colors for art projects, but for someone who wants to add color to paperwork, perfect. ... show more

    • Some of the pens work well. . . Most do not.
I ordered these in "bold." A couple glide freely and work great. The others? No. UPDATE - LEAKING: I am using these pens to underline court documents. They are giving me a nice, clear line.But they are leaking consistently. I am circumventing the problem by blotting them continuously on a paper towel. Get ready for a hassle (1) if you have multiple pages or (2) if you plan to scan the marked-on documents. That's because, firstly, the leaked markings will smear onto the back of any preceding page. (The leaks take a pretty long time to dry.) Also, secondly, the leaked markings will bleed through the sheet you wrote on. That will activate your scanner. . . . Yeah, you're going to need some white-out for either of these two situations. I previously purchased these pens at a competing retail store. I didn't underline with them. But I'm not sure I had these absurd problems. ... show more

    • Knock offs
These are not the G2 #10 pens. I know this because I use these pens everyday. They are definitely knockoffs and I can’t believe I paid for these cheap pens. I’m quite irritated because unlike the black pens that I use everyday, I do not enjoy the assorted colors. Do not waste your money

    • These are my go to pens for great reason!
Yes these are more expensive than gel pens but they will last you for years! I do a lot of journaling and writing and I’ve had pens go dry after an hour of writing but not these bad boys! Still going strong after hundreds of hours- not to mention they’re pretty comfortable to use and help with hand cramping! I would definitely recommend, you never need to replace these and they have refills you can switch out. I can guarantee you you’ll probably misplace these pens well before they run dry! Ps they have different tip sizes and color options for different projects and occasions- everything from fine lines to bold thick lines. ... show more

    • Always Reliable, in my experience.
I've used Pilot G2 pens for at least a decade, I think. They've been consistently reliable. I began using them when basic red, blue, black, and green were the only available colors. I've been using the newer colors also for some months now. My favorite pens. I try to keep some extras on hand. I'm a Senior, on Social Security. These pens are a priority, after living essentials.
