I am a HUGE fan of all of the Frixion erasable pens! As a teacher, it is so great to have these while I am writing examples with a doc cam. The colors are vibrant, they write smoothly, and best of all: they erase BETTER than pencils! They almost feel like GellyRoll pens without the wetness.     • Never disappointed
These are the only pens I will buy ever again. These are true erasable pens. This last set doesn't have the typical colors. I am always looking for didn't colors because I have so many of this brand of pen. They write great. Would highly recommend.

    • Extra Fine Gel pens! Soft colors!
The Pilot 0.5mm, extra fine gel pens are a lovely writing experience! First, I love fine pens and these are extra fine! But the pen itself has a nice barrel to it so the pen itself is not thin, which I love! It is nice and soft and the colors are really pretty The only 2 darker colors are the red and black, the others are really pretty soft pastelish colors. Great for journalling or even using for art if you are looking for a very fine color. The lighter colors are light on the white paper. The barrel of the pen is nice and soft so your hand does not get tired from holding a rigid pen. I have been using them at work and I really enjoy them. The one thing I noticed about these is the ink dries faster, so while we use laser printers, which with Gel pens is tough because they tend to smudge until they dry, but these dry much quicker. Also, the erasability function is quite cool! The top of the pen works as an eraser. To open the pen you have to push down on the clip (the clip is the clicker part), that took me a minute to figure out! These pens are fun to use and I love the extra fine tip! Great for journalling or art work (or just using!)I love the feel of the pen and the soft barrel. The colors are pretty and I am goign to try some sketching with them... Great pens, well priced!     • Fun colors, easy to erase
I'm having a lot of fun using these pens. I like color coding things, and this assortment of colors makes it easy to do that. They write crisply and cleanly, and they erase reasonably well. I discovered that the lighter colors erase easier than the darker ones, and all of them erase better if you allow the ink to dry first for a few seconds. Took me a minute to figure out how to access the eraser, but once I did, it was easy to do. These open and close easily via the clip, which is also used to access the eraser. These are a good value for the price, although I can't speak to how long they last because none of them have died yet. If there are any issues with that, I will come back and update this review. I love frixion pens for studying and taking notes. This particular set is a really cute and elegant version of them, and I really like that they're retractable with the side clip (unlike my old, non-retractable frixion pens). I usually use these on campus notebooks, and they erase well (and not before I want them to erase). The darker colors always take a little more pressure, time, or heat to erase, but they do still erase in my experience. The only problem I had with these is they seemed to last even less time than my previous frixion pens. It would be awesome if these lasted a little longer, but as it stands, I had to take a star off for that. These are labeled as "extra fine point" on the English packaging, but I personally don't think a 0.5mm is extra fine. It is accurately a 0.5mm, though, which I think is a good size for note-taking. Not too thin to make it tedious (like a 3mm), not too thick. This formula is specifically erased with heat, so you can actually erase them without using the "eraser" (for better or for worse). I've erased these many times with a hair dryer when I wanted to blast away a whole page I wrote lol. This doesn't work well on all papers, though. Super absorbent papers (like calligraphy paper) tend to hang onto the color, and gloss/semi-gloss papers leave kind of a colorless mark in the shape of whatever you wrote. I recommend testing them on different papers before being too confident about when and how well it will disappear. I recommend NOT leaving anything written with these in your car in the summer or anywhere else that might get really hot. The temperature the ink becomes invisible at is 60℃ or 140℉, which is really high, but it's just better not to chance it by leaving your notes somewhere that might get too hot. I've never had any of my notes disappear, but I haven't taken any chances with it. Also keep in mind that the ink reappears (to a degree) at very low temperatures. ... show more

These are phenomenal!! Great writing - smooth - and they DO erase. I absolutely love these gel pens, nice and thin and great light color options. A MUST for anyone who has a thing for gel pens.
