This Pierre Richardson timepiece is a quartz movement fashion watch and as such the listings use of the word “luxury” is inaccurate. This is a fashion watch and not a true luxury watch by any definition of the term. The finish has a frosted look which somehow seemed more interesting in description than it actually did on arrival. The frosted finish appears cheap and is not the least bit appealing. I actually tend to like Pierre Richardson timepieces as a fashion item but this one failed to impress. The function of the watch is fine for a quartz movement timepiece and functions well. I have not tested the water resistance to the 5ATM level but the watch has been fine for showering as well as wearing in the pool. The watch is perhaps slightly on the higher side of price compared to other similar watches in the category but it is not ridiculously expensive either. ... show more

I loved this watch when it came in but it inevitably turned black dirty and nasty along the links and different parts of the watch. The frosted material traps everything and there’s no way to clean it. I’ve literally thrown the watch in a drawer because it’s ruined and I can’t send it back now.

This is not a collectible watch. It's a nicely-made fashion watch, very much like you find in department stores (think Fossil or Skagen). It has a battery-powered quartz movement, hour/minute/second hands, and a date display. Most fashion watches work decently for displaying time and date. This one does, too. With a fashion watch, beyond basic functionality, the most important question is, "Do you like the look?" I happen to like the frosted finish of this watch. It has a rough feel, and a matt finish with silver sparkles. That sounds gaudy, but the effect is fairly subtle (see photo). Note that you will probably have to remove links from the band for proper fit. A simple tool for pin extraction has thoughtfully been included. I like the look of this watch. In addition to the frosty finish, I especially like the large bezel and thin case, which looks good on my thin wrist. I also have no complaints about its functionality. I can't give it five stars, though, simply because the price is a bit steep for what it is. ... show more

My husband isn't really a fancy watch person, but he absolutely loves this piece! It looks very elegant, and he says it has a nice weight to it that suggests high quality. The subtle "frosted" look also provides a bit of flare compared to your usual black or silver watch. Highly recommend!
