After several years, two of the batteries got weak. Needed to be replaced. Replaced. Probably a little sooner than than the original Sony batteries would take to replace. But these are so inexpensive and the life is almost as long as OEM.

Ordered this battery charger and batteries, plus an extra pair of batteries, for a trip to Greece. I've tried other non OEM brands and they have been "okay", but a couple have failed, and most don't have a great battery life...These PicklePower batteries are great and give me more photos/videos per battery than the OEM. AND they're orange so I can find them easily in the bottom of my bag. The Charger works as a charger should, and I love the lights that show how much charge is left.

I use these on my Sony a6000. Capacity lasts a little longer than my 8 year old batteries. Unfortunately I can't use these reliably to take video because of overheating - camera shuts off as a failsafe. I've popped the battery out to feel it right after overheat shutdown. It gets warmer than stock but not burning. I don't think they'll explode on me. Seems like a huge oversight, they should have known about this issue. In hotter environments these may prove useless. In colder places might not be noticiable at all. The dual charger is great! Handles my old batteries too no problem. Use a proper charging brick & cable. Weak USB ports/low-power bricks will cause the charger to softly dim periodically like a blinker & will falsely report batteries as fully charged. My cellphone USB-C charger & thick cable have no problem powering it. I thought these were a good gamble when I got them, no regrets but am looking into another set of batteries for my camera. Very glad that prices have gone down by a lot for model specific lithium batteries allowing me to try these out.

I went with this set because it was near Halloween 😊 and they come with a dual charger able to use micro-USB or USB type-C! Both batteries came about 60% charged, which is perfect value when storing long term Li-ion batteries. An empty battery will charge in about 2 hours, provided your power adapter is able to provide at least 1A. I also noticed that LED charge status indicators are pretty accurate. Now let’s focus on the batteries because they are the main reason for this purchase. I heard people saying these will last more than original Sony battery, or these will not hold a charge after a while. By chance I got a brand new Sony camera and to my surprise it came with an empty (!) battery. I charged that and used it until discharged and camera will not power up. Fully charged Pickle Power battery and discharged it same as the Sony OEM. Then I put my USB Power meter to work and I charged each battery to 100%. Here are my findings: Sony NP-FW50 specifications 7.2V and 1050mAh, took about 2 hours to charge and draw ~1940mAh. Pickle Power 7.2V and 1500mAh, took about 1.5 hours to charge and draw ~1550mAh. Is this battery better than OEM battery? No. Is this battery worth it? Yes, there is no overstatement and batteries are having a capacity of ~1500mAh. In my experience, original capacity will degrade overtime, when this happens, I will simply get new batteries. Also, in my experience OEM batteries capacity will degrade slower, possible same story here, but for the price, I think you should not complain. For about $10 you get 1500mAh Sony battery, I think it’s perfectly fine if you have to replace them after ~12-18months. There is one back draw: I do not see any warranty information but hopefully you won’t need it!
