This perfectly holds my wifes MB on the floor while my MB is raised above it. Very good quality materials used. Doesn't scratch the bikes. The only thing to make it PERFECT (IMO) would be to include some long velcro straps to hold it into place. My raised MB is fine, but sometimes my wifes bike (on the floor) will come loose if knocked slightly. We solved this minor issue with long velcro. Now its perfect. This is a great quality product at a great price.

First thing you should do after receiving the hanger is throw away the instructions. In fact, burn them. They are completely misleading in having you install concrete anchors in drywall (and vice versa) and instructing you to use a tiny drill bit (5/64) for drilling into studs when common sense would tell you a larger size is needed. If you plan on hanging a 60 pound bike, be prepared to see it crash. I wouldn’t put more than 40 pounds on these racks. Other than that, they’ll suffice.

We cleaned out the garage and our bikes kept falling over. My husband’s kick stand kept collapsing and mine didn’t allow the bike to lean enough. We wanted them off the ground for winter and have them in a place that they would not fall over. We did not want hooks for our curling, and most bike racks for walls have the bikes sticking out and taking up a lot of space. We didn’t have that option of space so when I saw these, I got them immediately. They are ready to install and hold everything up beautifully. I love that they fold up when we don’t need them

Knowing that it would not fit in a stud straightforward without aligning it proper, I just used an extra 2x4 placed widthwise on an existing stud and it was pretty easy after that. Have a kids bike and mountain bike on it. But I don't think it would really support the weight of my mountain bike hanging free, the front wheel is resting on the ground to take a little weight off the stand.. it would really support road bikes without any issue. Works good and it's been close to a year right now.

The product came with two different kinds of fasteners, metal anchors and plastic anchors, plus screws. The instructions were very confusing, and turns out, also wrong. They state that you should use the big metal anchors in drywall, and the bright yellow plastic anchors in studs. When actually, the plastic anchors included are drywall anchors. I'm not sure what the metal anchors were for, but definitely not for drywall. Another challenge is that a drill bit of the correct size is not included, so you have to measure and/or guess what bit you need. That's the part we did wrong, we used the wrong size drill bit so the plastic anchors didn't have anything to fasten into - the screws were just spinning in the anchors. Our second attempt with a smaller bit was successful, and we are confident that the bike rack will stay in the wall. You can see from the photo how I'm using the rack, this is perfect for a small apartment with no floor space to spare for something with as big a footprint as a bike. This bike is about 30 pounds. I bought the 2-piece set because we're planning to get a second bike.

I wanted to hang two large bikes on the wall to free up space on my patio. I wasn't sure if these nice looking hangers would work but they are perfect! Not only do they look good, and easily lift up against the wall when bikes are removed, but they took 10 minutes to install. I went out and got heavy duty screws figuring I would have to replace what came with the hangers but was pleasantly surprised to find everything I needed for any kind of installment I did all high quality heavy duty screws and bolts. This was a great surprise considering the price was so good. And don't let the slim look fool you. My son's 65 lb Giant mountain bike is held up easily.

First and foremost I would not mount this to anything but a stud in a wall. To do this I centered the bottom single hole to the stud and then put in the top two screws at an angle so they would hit the stud. Another thing is the bolt that holds the arm up in the down position seems pretty weak. It hasn’t broken but it does flex with my bike on it and I may replace it with a stronger bolt. Otherwise these are functional and inexpensive. If you change the down position support bolt and mount them in a solid way they’re good.
