I just received this today, and I am pretty impressed. The GOOD* *Nice, even, saturated lighting *The metal gobo cut-out pieces are very thin, but, they seem to be able to handle 'normal usage', I'd think, the magnets keep it to where the metal pieces stay on, which is always good *The amount of colors is fine, I wish there were more, and usually, I am not one to like the crazy colors that some similar things come with. In this instance though, I wish that I had more to play with, but, I do have color filters, so that really won't be a problem ***The battery life is something that I can't comment on yet, hopefully it'll be fine, I have no reason to think otherwise ***If it lasts, the $50 price will have been well spent, I am happy enough with the price ***It seems to be made well and appears durable ***It's pretty weighty for such a small light, but, good things are, so... The Not-so-Good* *I am not a fan of the ON-OFF button, the way it operates, it's fine once you understand how it works, but, it seemed kind of inconsistent, and it's not intuitive (I read on here how to make it work) *I wish that it would dim more, I can make it seem more dim by placing something over the light, but, I'd rather not have to. The dimming is really barely noticeable For me, the brightness was 'just right', I read where others didn't think it was bright enough. Just change your shutter-speed and aperture if you need a brighter image Luckily, the thing is not that hard to completely figure out, because, the printed manual is HORRIBLE! Even reading it with a magnifying glass it's super small! Like I said though, it's a good thing it's fairly simple to operate I included a picture of my first photo-shoot using it. I had a good time playing around with it! There were really no shortcomings that I could see, it handled it all perfectly! ***** I'll still give this a FIVE STAR rating, if it keeps doing what it does, I'm a very happy buyer.

This photography flashlight exceeded my expectations. The four color options add a lot of flexibility and make it easy to create different moods for photos and videos. The magnetic pattern gobos are a big highlight and allow you to produce creative backgrounds and lighting effects without needing extra equipment. The light output is strong for its size and the brightness adjustment makes it suitable for close up shots as well as wider scenes. The 8400mAh battery lasts a long time and easily handles extended shooting sessions without frequent recharging. It also feels solid and well built while still being lightweight and portable. I love this light. I haven’t had as much time as I’d like to experiment with all the included gobo shapes yet, but I mainly picked it up for the window lighting effect—and it does that really well. The battery life is impressive and lasts a long time, which makes it great for longer shoots. It also has mounting points for a tripod, which adds a lot of flexibility in how you can use it. Build quality feels solid and well-made overall. It looks good, feels good in hand, and performs reliably. Overall, a great light and a solid addition to my kit.

I will admit that at first this was frustrating. But it was user error. To turn it on you don't just press the button, you have to press it quickly and then turn the knob. I kept fumbling at first because I would constantly press the button and nothing would happen. The light itself is very good, it's very bright as it should be. It's heavy so it feels like it's great quality. And so far the battery has lasted a pretty long time. The magnetic feature to hold the templates is a little weak. The magnets aren't very strong at all and they fall easily. It's supposed to dim but it doesn't dim very much at all. The different colors are okay for the most part except the blue. The blue light is very, very light. Almost unrecognizable as a shade of blue. I had to purchase another light for that. All the other colors such as the red and orange are great though. It's a near perfect product if they can make it more dimmable for different situations, and if the blue was a tint darker. Or at the very least have a setting where it can have the extremely light blue that it comes with and a more apparent blue. And also for the magnets to be at least a bit stronger than what they are now. I know it's not supposed to be a permanent placement but they just fall off too easily. Barely a touch takes the shadow templates off.

These flash lights have been incredibly helpful for video shoots. The gobos that come with them are a great way of elevating different shots. It’s also cool that you can change the colors between white, orange, red, and blue, and the light modifiers such as the white diffusion make beautiful, pleasant lighting. I got these because they have a higher capacity and a longer running time.
