This c-stands set is a great value. In use for a few weeks in the studio so far I have zero functional fault or complaints with these. This set was a huge step up for me from the folding/collapsing light stand it replaced~ As far as strength & stability the big win comes in flexibility and precision in setting & adjusting. The grip arm allows for tilting your light and modifier freely without worrying about the riser column being in the way. The staggered legs let you position stands right on top of each other. And their horizontal extension is perfect for holding sandbags. The Turtle base design allows for easier transport. since the base can be removed. The center columns can be changed out to better suite specific uses. The handles on the grip-head are more comfortable than others have used. Overall I am extremely pleased with the quality and functionality of this set and find it well worth the price. I highly recommend!

So I got this package about 6 days late. I’m sure that doesn’t happen to everyone but it’s durable, heavy weight, really easy to put together, easy to move and carry, and the function of this c stand seamless and smooth. You won’t regret buying these. But buy them well before you plan on using them.

The box it came in was obliterated, so the packing was terrible. I bought a Neewer brand C-stand a few years back that pierced the shipping foam and box, so that’s not unheard of. The size and stability is as to be expected, it’s a lighter c stand arm than my others, so that’s good or bad, good if you’re wanting to use it for flags or bounce flash off some foam. Bad or useless if you’re going to put anything heavier than an ad200 flash on it. The arm itself is just too bouncy. The knuckle is sturdy. And locks well. It works like it should. I can’t say I’d recommend this based on anything other than it’s lighter than normal, which makes it a good choice for on-location work.
