  • Works well years later!
Color: Phone Video Stand
It’s been a few years since I bought this, but it’s still holding up well and it’s fully functional like the day I got it. The clamp quality is very durable and is still holding up very well. It doesn’t take up much space on my desk due to how it mounts. You can adjust it out about as far as you would reasonably want to and it will just stay there. And it’s got relatively good stability. Based on the table you attach it to. If your desk shakes then the arm will shake, and you may be able to hear that if you don’t have a mount that keeps it from transferring to the microphone. ... show more

  • Pretty decent for the money
Color: Phone Video Stand
It's the arm on the lower-left hand side of the picture. I like it more than the other arm holding up the microphone (different manufacturer and that arm was much cheaper though). I feel like everything tightens pretty well and the ball head it came with is decent enough quality. I test-fit my Canon T5i into it and it was able to hold it up without drooping. The Canon isn't going to be my standard configuration, but it was an impressive amount of weight to bear given that we're still talking about an arm with a low double digit price range. Currently I've got a Logitech C920 threaded onto it and facing down at the desktop. I selectively left a couple of the knobs loose so that I can grab it and pull it down for closeups of the table, as needed. I have a few silver sharpie marks on the arm to denote where the correct 'default position' is. This works pretty well for being a manual process involving a bunch of independently moving joints. The stability isn't the best, but that's more the fault of physics than it is the arm itself. You can only be so stable when you're supporting a heavy weight two and a half feet off of a desk, and there isn't much I know of to improve that other than getting a stabilized gimble that would be about ten times the price. ... show more

  • Awesome and super affordable
Color: Phone Video Stand
This product feels like it's higher quality than what you paid for. It's metal and sturdy, and it doesn't feel rickety at all. I use it with a phone, so I'm not sure how it'll hold heavier accessories, but my guess is that it'll do fine. I don't use the phone clip it came with for two reasons: 1. The springs are really hard to pull apart, which of course is good for holding on to the phone, but a little annoying to deal with. 2. Because it's so strong, it activates the side-squeeze feature on my Pixel 4, so I just use a different grip. I do think it's fine to use for most people though. The clamp that holds on to the table works great. I even tested it on an odd-beveled table that I have, where only half of the circular surface touches the table, and it still manages to stay stable (I included a photo). I don't recommend doing this if you are holding heavier accessories, but holding a phone is fine. The combination of the ball accessory+the silver piece (that has up/down range) at the end of the arm allows you to get pretty much a full range of positions, you just gotta play with both. ... show more

  • Bad head, doesn't hold phone or camera well
Color: Pic Projector
This would be great but it's very tricky to get it to hold my Pixel phone or Canon Sureshot horizontally to take pictures on table. If you can get the ball joint locked in securely at the right angle, don't breathe on it or you have to fiddle with the thing again. It's thumb screw is too tiny and hard to get tight. Also the spring-loaded holder feels cheap and flimsy. I believe it will break if stressed. Would have preferred being able to change out this head for a better one but you can't. The stand part of it is stable and quite satisfactory. ... show more

  • I'm really disappointed
Color: Phone Video Stand
Hopefully there is a way the seller can contact me, because I am extremely dissatisfied with this product. When I put my phone on the stand, it leans over and does not stay in the position I set it in even when I tighten all of the points. I use this as a document camera for online teaching, and it is extremely frustrating that the stand does not stay in the position I set it to and just leans over as soon as I set it. I spent $30 on this product and it honestly feels like a waste of money at this point because I will have to replace it after literally 1 week of use. I may have gotten a defective product, and I would greatly appreciate if the seller could contact me back to see if we can problem solve this. Update: support was able to send me a replacement and it arrived less than 24 hours later. I’ve added an additional star and will update after using to see how it holds up. Second Update: this did not hold up. The ball doesn't hold its position no matter how tight you make it. I just don't understand how I can go through several of these and they all and up breaking in a different location. I'm a teacher and all I use this for is showing my desk and swiveling to show my wall. It shouldn't be causing such problems. ... show more

  • Cool contraption!
Color: phone stand with light
Not bad for the price. Does the job. Not the sturdiest, but very much capable. PLEASE MEASURE THE TABLE, DESK, ETC. YOU'RE CLAMPING IT TO! I wanted it on my kitchen table but the mouth of the bracket wasn't wide enough for my table.
