Well, I really like this Phomemo Q302 printer. This is the latest and the greatest portable printer from Phomemo, and it's much better than my previous M382 thermal printer in almost all aspects. I like this one much better because it's lighter, looks and feels of higher quality, and it's much easier to feed paper thanks to the top paper loading slot. The only downside is that it doesn't support printing on thermal paper rolls and color printing. The printer itself is small and compact, making it easy to take with you wherever you go. It fits easily in a backpack or a shoulder bag, and it's surprisingly lightweight (only 415 grams), but still feels like a sturdy piece of equipment. The app connection and setup are fairly easy, and it took me less than 5 minutes to start printing. But if you have trouble connecting, use this trick - double press the power button and the printer will print out a QR. Then just scan this code with the app, and it will connect to the printer no problem. Once connected, the printer works flawlessly. The app is well-designed and straightforward to use, which is great for people who aren't tech-savvy. You can print all sorts of things from the app, such as web pages, photos, and documents. You can also connect it to your PC or Mac and print the same way as you do with any other printer. The printing itself is quick, and the quality is excellent at 300 dpi. The text is sharp, high contrast, and easy to read. The battery is 2400 mAh that allows you to print a whooping 170 pages without ever recharging, which is fantastic for mobile printing when you don't have any power source nearby. The printing itself is quick, and the quality is surprisingly good for a thermal printer. It prints in 300 dpi resolution, which is comparable with my office inkjet printer. The text is sharp and easy to read, although I did notice that the thermal paper has a bit of a glossy finish to it and produces reflections on its surface when you hold it against bright light sources or sun. While I don't think that this printer will replace my office printer, for occasional use outside your office or home it's a perfect and cheap alternative. The fact that this printer only prints in black and white may also turn away some users who need color printing, but again, for BW documents its printouts are outstanding. The only concern I have is the cost of thermal paper, which runs about $20-$25 for a pack of 200 sheets, which is about 10 to 12 cents per page. It is surely more expensive than the regular paper but not too bad taking into account that you don't have any expenses for toner or ink to print. Bottom line: Yes, I definitely recommend this Phomemo Q302 portable printer. It's a significant upgrade over the M382, boasting a lighter design, higher quality construction, and easier paper loading. While it doesn't support thermal paper rolls or color printing, its compact size and easy app setup make it ideal for on-the-go use. The app interface is user-friendly, offering seamless printing of various content types. With quick printing, excellent 300 dpi quality, and a long-lasting battery, it's perfect for mobile printing. End-to-end, it's a solid product and I do not hesitate to give it 5 stars. Pros: 1. Very small, compact, and lightweight. 2. Well-designed, well-made, very sturdy. 3. Supports a wide variety of paper sizes. 4. Convenient top paper loading slot. 5. Easy to set up and use with PC and smartphone. 6. App is straightforward and easy to use. 7. I have used printers for a few decades- and I never thought a printer could be as easy to use as this one is. First of all, it hooked up with ease to my phone- right when it was turned on- instantly it was connected. This is an important factor because my husband plans on taking it with him- when he has to print bills for clients (when he does landscaping jobs). This is a great printer for those people who run small businesses- especially ones out of your home or a vehicle- because this is the most portable printer I have had in my life. And the size of it- I could fit it in many of my purses (it is slim but long). When it comes to the quality of printing I was amazed. One thing that made me quit printing things years ago- was the cost of ink. I would go through so many cartridges and as I spent more and more I realized what a waste printing things were- and tried to eliminate having to do this. This is not something I wanted to do at all- as I do a lot of writing- almost all my money comes from it- and I have always edited best when words are on paper- rather than on screen. But no matter how comfortable I was with the print on paper- I had to eliminate my need for printing things- when ink became too expensive. So now I edit online and it has become quite natural. However, while this printer does not need ink it does need special paper- you can't use any type with thermal printers. You have to use paper designed for the thermal printers. But the paper seems cheaper than the ribbon- however, if I see that the cost is too high- I may use the printer less than I intended to when I first got it. A few sheets are included so that you can try it out for the first time. I found this printer so much easier to use than the ones that take ink cartridges. Even threading the paper through was easier- If anyone has any questions about this thermal printer, feel free to reach out and ask. Thank you
