I bought this to make labels for my chocolate business and I’m so glad that I did. It does not need any ink and recharges with a USB cord. You can use full paper size, or you can move the tabs on the inside of the unit to fit a smaller paper size I have used this printer to print 2 x 3 stickers, 4 x 6 stickers and full page applications that I can then write on. The app is easy to use and comes with a ton of features. I haven’t even explored them all lol.

I bought this printer because I was tired of running out of ink Jen I need it. I bought the individual sheets of thermal paper to use with this because I don’t like how the rolled paper comes out curled. But this works great! It only prints black and white but I only need it for bills and kids’ miscellaneous school stuff so it’s perfect. I do have to manually feed in each sheet of paper which is fine, but that means it prints a little crooked sometimes. Again, this isn’t for work or anything so that works for me. Sometimes it doesn’t catch the paper either and I have to try a few times before it does. That’s a little annoying. It’s very small and portable. I use the app on my iPhone phone to print documents and it works great. Overall this is a great little printer and I LOVE that I will never run out of ink!

I originally got this Phomemo portable thermal printer to print out 4x6" address labels. I regularly send stuff to my mother and I wanted to get away from printing out whole sheets of paper on the laser printer. I followed the Quick Start Guide and went to the Phomemo website to download a specific driver to my Windows laptop. However, even though the laptop recognized the printer, they could not communicate. I scanned the Phomemo QR code on my Android phone to download their app. Using the app worked. I was able to upload a photo of my cat to the app and the printer worked just fine. The print quality was OK. It reminded me of an old-school fax and ultrasound printouts. I wouldn't consider thermal paper archival, but it is handy to have a portable printer around for quick document printouts. I could not get the printer to correctly print USPS labels, as the only size settings for the printer are Letter and A4. I did try various workarounds, like turning the label into an image, resizing the image, etc., but I only ended up with 25 labels that had portions of the label printed. So, all in all, it is a handy portable document printer, as long as I can access the documents on my phone and upload them to the Phomemo app. But I really wanted to be able to use this printer with my laptop, and it just doesn't.

My daughter had wanted a portable printer for a long time & I’d looked at quite a few before coming across this one. A lot of the portable printers I’d seen weren’t that much smaller than this Phomemo Portable Printer, but the were only capable of printing one size & that size was a fairly small. One of the great things about this printer is that you can print full size 8.5”x11” documents or pictures, but you can also print in various other smaller sizes. It all depends on how you set it up in the app that’s used to run the printer. That made this one stand out bc not only can it print pictures but it can also print papers for school. I love that you can not only print from anything with Bluetooth capabilities, but it also comes with a cord to connect it to a computer so you can print from there as well…covering all bases. Not to mention that you don’t ever need toner or ink of any kind bc it uses thermal paper. The only drawback there being that you can’t print in color but my daughter is fully capable of coloring in anything that she doesn’t want to be in black & white. It comes ready to use for the most part, all you have to do is put the roll of paper in & download the app. My daughter printed her first picture w in 5 minutes of us opening it. The size & weight are perfect for a portable printer bc it’s super lightweight & small enough to fit in her mini backpack so she takes it everywhere with her & that’s what she wanted to be able to do. It also comes with a closable dust bag that protects it when in her bag or really anytime it’s not in use which should help with the lifespan of the printer & I appreciate that a lot. I ordered this in the light purple & the color is more of a light purple grey mix & definitely not as bright as pictured but that’s not a problem for us. It comes with a roll of paper, but my daughter ran through that in about a week so I’d advise buying extra rolls of thermal paper along with the printer. The only negatives my daughter had to say about the printer is that the app can be a little confusing at first when it comes to printing things in different sizes. She’s way more technologically savvy than me & she’s still figuring it out. She also doesn’t like that it always prints the full 8.5”x11”s of paper leaving a white band at the top & bottom of the page if the image is wider than it is tall, but that would be the case w most printers. Overall this printer seems to be well thought out & well made. I’m really glad I ordered this for my daughter & she is too & we would both highly recommend it to anyone looking for a portable printer.
