    • Love this toothbrush
I've had some periodontal issues, the Sonicare Diamond Clean was recommended by the hygienist. I've been using one for almost four years now, and combined with regular flossing I've had great checkups and no issues since I started using it, bone depth measurements are stable. It seems to do a great job, teeth really feel clean after using it. This was purchased as a replacement, the original is still working but there is a lot of play (wobble) in the head bearing. I thought the battery or motor would fail at some point but they're both still working well, this replacement was purchased because it was on sale. I suspect I'll need it before too long, but it could be that the original unit will work for another year. The original unit came with a travel case that had a built-in charger powered from a USB cable with AC adapter as well as the counter top charger. The replacement just purchased and being reviewed here is the same product in every respect except that the travel case does NOT come with a built-in charger. I'm glad I still have the original travel case, it is very convenient. Without it you may need to travel with the counter top charger which is a glass that sits on a heavy metal base (charger) with a non-detachable AC line cord. ... show more

My husband and I both have these toothbrushes and we love them. I have had mine for over 5 years and it is still going strong. This one was purchased for my husband and he loves it as well. We carry them with us to travel often and it is very easy with the little case that comes with it.

I got this on a Black Friday sale and let me tell you, my mouth has been incredibly happy. I am very pleased with this purchase. I will never go back to a manual toothbrush again. I kind of scoffed at the travel case this comes with, as its beautiful and sleek, I was thinking, “when will I ever use this? I’ll just travel with a manual toothbrush and leave this at home.” Hello! Best purchase as a Black Friday deal$. Bought two (2019) but still pricey! Very easy to use. Teeth feel cleaner than dentist-clean. (No offense intended.) The supplied glass rests on top pass thru charger. The toothbrush rests inside the glass. Svelt appearance & feel. As it's a new purchase; battery life after multiple uses (& not left constantly in the charger base) hasn't been determined. Con: Supplied travel case doesn't have space for charger base. Means that you must pack the charger base seperately for long trips. (There should be a travel charger included.) ... show more

    • Don't buy it.
I had two other models, and I loved them. I was born in Brazil and I was never able to see a dentist until I moved to the US--I was 16 when that happened, but it was not until I was 22 that I could afford a dentist in NYC. At the doctor's office, I was diagnosed with Gingivitis. My dentist recommended the Philips toothbrush (after a long series of periodontal cleaning). The tooth helped keep me from getting gingivitis for years. Obviously, there's a cleaning protocol you must adhere to if you have the same issue--consult your dentist for a full list of things you can do to keep you from getting it. I decided to buy this one as an upgrade for the ones I had. unfortunately, the toothbrush never connected to the app. The timed brushing for each mouth section shuts off after three cycles (you have more than three sections in your mouth!) I tried every troubleshooting in the book. I tried contacting Philips for the warranty, and apparently, the model number is not recognized. It took me so long to write this review because I held to the hope that it would work, or I would get a replacement. Tough luck. Stick with the previous models. They work wonderfully and in my case, it helped keep me from having gingivitis again. The additional settings in the diamond clean are not worth the money--even if the toothbrush worked properly. ... show more

I've gone through alot of rechargeable toothbrush and none of these come close to the Sonicare DiamondClean. I used the sensitive mode for when my gums are alittle sore from whitening strips. The whitening mode along with any whitening toothpaste for example Colgates optic white works great as a combo. Use this as an night tooth brushing and you will see better results with your teeth being cleaned. 10 out of 10 in my book. ... show more

I love this toothbrush. I was a little concerned when I saw the glass cup and all the attachments to charge, and doesnt make it easy to travel with, however the cleaning power and options superceed that detail. I have had sonicare brushes before, but the options for deep clean and gun line make this brush definitely worth the extra dollars spent. I wish the charging method was a little simpler, like maybe a nice case that can act as a charger and traveler. I hadn’t to purchase another case to just do that.     • Visibly Whiter Teeth In Just Two Weeks!
Very impressed by this toothbrush, I was on the fence for a while but when I had to have several cavities filled I figured that if it really worked it would pay for itself in year or two, and work it did! With a few weeks of brushing with this toothbrush and Optic White toothpaste my teeth are whiter then they have been in years. Not to mention the convenience of the built in timer and just the fact that it's Electric. Conclusion: 9/10 ... show more
