It wasn’t too bad to install and adding codes and prints for it to read is super easy. It has a really hard time with my thumb print though despite having programmed it over and over. Seems to work for a day or two and then can’t read it anymore. May try a different finger. I just use code or phone most times bc of these inaccuracies and difficulty with the finger print reader, which isn’t a huge deal.

I LOVE this. This has made my house feel safer. I don't have to check at night to see if I locked the door. After proper installation, it locks every time. The thumbprint may take a couple times but this is much like using my thumbprint to open devices. Sometimes, it doesn't work the first time. The back up is use your code. I appreciate the code can be a set of numbers up to 10 (I believe). I like I can give codes to people and not use my main code. I can easily delete the codes afterwards. This is great for neighbors who are taking care of the house or when they need to bring in packages. The code works every time. I installed the app and can verify at night if I want to that it is locked. I can't use it with my Amazon echos because I don't have the bridge. I am good with this. It has the app. It has a key pad. It has the thumbprint. If that all fails, there is a key that I put on my key chain just in case. I have never used it yet. Setting it up: I am a woman for any woman who is wondering if you can do this. Absolutely!!!! This is the first time I ever did something like this. I watched the YouTube video. I played the video multiple times while installing it. The hardest part was the strike plate was bigger than the one that was already in my door. After searching videos on how to install it, I learned that I had to use a chisel and/or file on the door itself to make it fit. I have both on hand so I used a combination. I was worried I was going to ruin my door. I took my time. I measured and remeasured. I chiseled and filed little by little. The handle was easier to install. I had a choice of using the original strike plate in my door or install the new one. Using the chisel and file, I installed the new one. It was a piece of cake this time. The result: A new lock system that works perfectly every time. I have had it for 2 months now and have no problems.

I got this lock to replace a Yale assure 2 lock. I had purchased my Yale lock hoping to be able to seamlessly integrate the lock with Alexa as well as my ring alarm system. Much to my disappointment, the Yale lock has been nothing but a disappointment at a pain in the butt. After finally having had enough, I decided to try this one. Let me tell you that this lock was so easy to set up. As far as installation, I would say that it is average. If you've ever installed a similar lock or even just a regular deadbolt, you won't find this any more difficult. The beautiful part of it was truly when it was time to download the app, create a user account, and activate the lock and connect it to the app. I had the whole procedure done in less than 5 minutes. In 5 more minutes. I was able to seamlessly connect it with Alexa and set up a routine. I honestly can't say better things about this lock. It is quiet, detects a fingerprint well, is nice and minimalist, and just plain works. After all, that's really what everyone wants in a lock... One that they can rely on. Get this lock and you definitely won't be disappointed!

This latch set will only work if your door has a chiseled latch opening. Wouldn't work with our new doors without chiseling them out. Returned and went another direction.
