This speaker is a great value. It has good sound quality and can get loud if you want it to. Best part is that you can bind to multiple computers at once. I have two desktop computers sharing this speaker wirelessly without having to re-bind them. The only downside is that after 15 minutes of not being used, the speaker turns off and I don't see any way to keep it on. Even while powered from the wall it shuts off after 15 minutes of inactivity. To get around that I play some very low volume music in a loop from one of the computers. ... show more

Works great. Speaker was in perfect condition original box was a little beat up but for a returned product at a great value what do you expect. This speaker sounds good but not a big speaker with much bass. It's actually extremely small and can go along on any adventure.

I bought this speaker on sale during prime day hoping to have it replace my old 2015 UE Megaboom. Compared to that speaker, this one is much more stylish but Philips made a very strange choice in its sound design. Pros: The speaker IMO is very stylish even though it’s mainly plastic and I appreciate the included loops that can be used to tie or hang it. I’ve only had it for about a month but but so far the battery life has been good and I like that it can be used as a power bank. The audio also sounds very clean overall with a v shaped curve. It’s decently loud but not as loud as the Megaboom. Cons: Unlike the Megaboom, this speaker has no smart features or app and you won’t even be able to see its battery percentage on iPhone. Although the sound is clean, it’s not as full sounding as the Megaboom since the mids are recessed. It sounds good with electronic music but can sound hollow with metal. The sound also doesn’t project as widely as with the Megaboom and it’s cylindrical design. The strangest thing about the sound of this speaker is that, unless you pair two of these together, you will not get stereo audio. I find that strange for a speaker that’s supposed to retail for $150. Overall: Not a bad speaker, especially for the prime day price, but I wish that it at least had stereo audio. Unfortunately, this isn’t mentioned anywhere on the product listing and I only found out about that after checking Philips’s website. If you don’t mind being mono audio then this speaker is fine but if you want stereo, skip this one. ... show more

I bought this product (s3505) so I could listen to music while working outside on my projects and it worked perfectly for me. I really liked that the products exterior is cloth rather than hard plastic. The sound quality was phenomenal and had a surprising amount of bass for the size. The small handle is also nice for clipping the speaker to things such as a backpack or belt loop while doing outdoor activities. Being waterproof, I wasn't afraid to spill things on it or use it while working with water and sat it on top of a car while I washed it and didn't run into a single problem. Another nice thing is that the Bluetooth range is very far (about 50ft) and that it automatically continues playing after reconnecting if you go out of range. Overall this is a great product and I would definitely recommend this product to others. ... show more

This was a great little speaker -- while it lasted. However, after less than 5 months of use the sound became extremely distorted, especially at higher volumes. Trying to get Philips to do anything is practically impossible. When you finally find a Customer Support phone number nobody wants to answer. On the rare occasion that someone does answer, more often than not they end up hanging up on you (and I have NOT been disrespectful!). The first time someone actually helped me she told me that the case had not been assigned to anybody (this was 11 days after I had received an email telling me that I would receive a response within 24-48 hours). She assigned the case and I received an email that evening requesting TONS of information. I responded to that email and received an email stating "Your email will not be read and no case will be created." Many more attempts to call into support went unanswered or, when answered, dropped. Eventually a gentleman did answer and apologized, stating that their systems were being upgraded and telling me that I would receive a reply once the upgrade was completed. I'm not holding my breath! After nearly 6 months of effort I am close to getting some sort of resolution. But they want me to ship the defective unit back to them at my expense (company policy is apparently to not issue return labels). Then they will only issue a refund, not replace the unit. Oh, and they require you to utilize the "attached" RMA form -- but fail to attach any such form! All of their support people (and I have talked to LOTS) work remotely and most have horrible setups, meaning you can barely hear or understand them. They continually ask you to send the same things over and over again. Then once someone tells you that they've finally received everything (like the 12 different pictures I've sent), they tell you that's too much and to just resubmit a certain two (plus resubmit your proof of purchase, of which they already have multiple copies)! So, if you are a masochist, by all means purchase from Philips! If you are a more normal person buy some other brand -- ANY other brand! ... show more

Ok - they aren’t known too well for the best audio compared to some company’s that advertise HiRes audio so the outdoor speaker products I have owned prior to buying this surprisingly kept up and surpassed one or two - like the altec Lansing rockbox XL - I went ahead and bought two for stereo pairing and WOW- the quality at low volume is amazing. Now it is not labeled HiRes but I do have a HiRes player and you CAN hear the difference flat out. The battery life has lasted two days of Christmas music in one weekend but the bottom line is - when it’s on sale — GET IT!! You wont be disappointed- it also hooks up to Siri! I found too by trial and error a perfect case for this. It’s a Hermit case and it’s number on Amazon is B01M3699X6!! I hope this helps cause the pool never sounded better today with one on the end of the pool and the other opposite of it!!! Stereo at low volumes (and high as well) sounds awesome to me when it’s spread out like this. ... show more
