I bought this product (s3505) so I could listen to music while working outside on my projects and it worked perfectly for me. I really liked that the products exterior is cloth rather than hard plastic. The sound quality was phenomenal and had a surprising amount of bass for the size. The small handle is also nice for clipping the speaker to things such as a backpack or belt loop while doing outdoor activities. Being waterproof, I wasn't afraid to spill things on it or use it while working with water and sat it on top of a car while I washed it and didn't run into a single problem. Another nice thing is that the Bluetooth range is very far (about 50ft) and that it automatically continues playing after reconnecting if you go out of range. Overall this is a great product and I would definitely recommend this product to others. ... show more

This was a great little speaker -- while it lasted. However, after less than 5 months of use the sound became extremely distorted, especially at higher volumes. Trying to get Philips to do anything is practically impossible. When you finally find a Customer Support phone number nobody wants to answer. On the rare occasion that someone does answer, more often than not they end up hanging up on you (and I have NOT been disrespectful!). The first time someone actually helped me she told me that the case had not been assigned to anybody (this was 11 days after I had received an email telling me that I would receive a response within 24-48 hours). She assigned the case and I received an email that evening requesting TONS of information. I responded to that email and received an email stating "Your email will not be read and no case will be created." Many more attempts to call into support went unanswered or, when answered, dropped. Eventually a gentleman did answer and apologized, stating that their systems were being upgraded and telling me that I would receive a reply once the upgrade was completed. I'm not holding my breath! After nearly 6 months of effort I am close to getting some sort of resolution. But they want me to ship the defective unit back to them at my expense (company policy is apparently to not issue return labels). Then they will only issue a refund, not replace the unit. Oh, and they require you to utilize the "attached" RMA form -- but fail to attach any such form! All of their support people (and I have talked to LOTS) work remotely and most have horrible setups, meaning you can barely hear or understand them. They continually ask you to send the same things over and over again. Then once someone tells you that they've finally received everything (like the 12 different pictures I've sent), they tell you that's too much and to just resubmit a certain two (plus resubmit your proof of purchase, of which they already have multiple copies)! So, if you are a masochist, by all means purchase from Philips! If you are a more normal person buy some other brand -- ANY other brand! ... show more

I bought this thing last year as a stand-in speaker for when I eventually got a better one. I Left it on the stove as a decoration piece and I just turned it on 9 months later without charging it in between and it turned right on and connected immediately. This thing is fantastic for the price that it is. The sound isn't the best but what for you're paying for? It is fantastic hands down. I would buy this again if I needed to. Sounded great at first loud , fun, fast charge. Now even talk only radio causes the speakers to have a crispy sound like they blew out. No limiting maybe? Should not be able to destroy it self
