Description

Philips GU10 LED spot light bulbs provide 380 lumens of bright, crisp white, dimmable light at a 35-degree beam angle equivalent to 35-watt halogens at 1/5 of the energy consumption. Ideal for track lighting, these bulbs have retrofit GU10 bi-pin bases that work with Halogen lamps. Not for use with Philips HUE products. Perfect for accent and ambient lighting in home, hospitality and retail spaces, these lights offer a crisp, uniform beam and excellent color rendering to highlight and showcase artwork and product displays, as well as for general directional lighting in hallways, stairwells, and alcoves. Philips LED dimming is flicker-free, silent, and tested work with more dimmer switches than any other LED on the market. The light dims smoothly from 3000-Kelvin down to a glow with greater clarity than halogen light bulbs. Safe for the environment, LEDs don't contain any mercury. These LEDs turn on instantly with a high intensity, 35-degree beam that replaces halogen bulbs in decorative and track lighting fixtures. LEDs last 10X longer than halogen lights saving you the hassle and cost of frequent bulb changes. Each bulb in this pack of three Philips GU10 LEDs has an expected lifespan of 25, 000 hours—that's over 10 years based on usage rates of 3 hours per day. Our new GE hood vent came with halogen bulbs which got so hot, my wife scalded her finger by accidentally touching it. So, we switched to LED. These bulbs were a direct replacement. They look great. Our hood vent has a “high” and “low” setting for the lights which these bulbs support. There isn’t a TON of difference between high and low, but it’s enough. The color temp is nice, not too warm, not too cool. Although I’d prefer a bit warmer color just to match some other lighting in the room. But it is nice color light to cool by. So overall, very happy, definitely recommend replacing halogen bulbs with these. ... show more

After some searching I finally found an LED that is a more natural color and not blinding. There are not many options on Amazon for under 400 lumens, but these lights are perfect for any fixture in a small to medium room without blinding yourself or feeling like you are performing on a stage.     • Good replacement for Halogen

Typically, I set the range hood light to the low setting at night and use it as a night light. The halogen bulbs that came with my GE range hood were burning out regularly and also tripping the GFCI receptacle that is on the same circuit. Electrician suggested LEDs and these seemed to have solved the problem. The LED bulbs are brighter on the low setting than the halogens and don't offer the same nighttime glow. My apartment has this style of light, and when a bulk died, I had to go on the hunt. The first store was selling one of these for close to $20, so getting 3 for $12 felt much better. Hey, it's a light, so what do you expect. I was disappointed that the light output didn't match my remaining bulbs, but I can't knock the product for that, just beware if you're buying this to add to existing lights, it's not as bright as I would like.
