I got 2 Tchibo prior to getting this unit. The first Tchibo was good untill it broke down after about a year. Service is non existance, so I bought a second one. I have had one of these for years and I was really lazy about cleaning it. Never broke, finally had to take out the inside and clean it. Still works. Recently got a vacation home so bought another one. I had the saeco one and a DeLongi both stopped working after about two years. This one has been very reliable. Makes great coffee. NO PODS! My 2nd Philips espresso machine for I had my other Philips for 10 years. I only drink lattes and regular coffee so didn’t need a more robust (expensive) machine. They fixed a bunch of annoyances such as a too small water container and size of bean hopper. Got the machine from Amazon for $299 (refurbished) versus $435 (new). I bought a renewed unit - it came with everything a new one would, except on in the original box. It's easy to use, and very well-designed. I love the automatic features, just select what you want, and it does the rest. Overall very pleased with our purchase to date.
