The media could not be loaded. This is a pretty standard cd player. It’s my third portable one I’ve bought and it’s very reasonably priced. It’s also my second favorite so far, but the one I liked best broke after a few months so. Regardless!! It sounds great. You do need headphones or a wired speaker to use it. It has all the standard buttons, it hasn’t skipped anything on my cds. Don’t even bother with the earbuds though. So: TDLR; Pros: good audio, standard buttons, slightly smaller than average (will still fit any cd), textured buttons Cons: horrible earphones, plays static while paused, smears easy I would recommend it ... show more

Buttons are a little hard to read. I painted/highlighted them white to read them better. The unit works great on my stationary bike.

I bought this a few months ago and just tried to use it for the first time. It doesn't work! I wish I tested it before the return window ended. It doesn't work at all, didn't even turn on once. Garbage.

I like the sound but had to use different earbuds as the ones that came with the CD player hurt my ears! Fortunately I had earbuds that are comfortable and compatible! I can listen to my CDs in comfort now!😌

What I luv about the Philco Personal C.P. Player. As soon as installed the 2 double A batteries, I popped in my copy of Kiss Alive 2. It was a really good sounding copy of the c.d. The BBS On/Off Switch works great. You could hear c.d. clearly. Even the parts of crowd making noises didn't interfere with Paul Stanley inducing the songs. This basically the same compact disk player that had in the late 90's. The LCD display is easy to see. The control buttons are very simple to use. The ear buds are pretty decent. The only issue that I had is the eject c.d. button. The lid will not open completely. But I am able to work with that. I can still remove the disk without any problems. For what it worth. Perfect for ages 8-adult. Wish it could project sound but that's why they call it 'personal' - I don't recommend for toddlers though.
