Thought as a birthday present, the iPod came protected with a password and we couldn't get it to run, even after various attempts to reset and restore it.

    • Don’t waste your money
Returning an iPod that breaks after one day of use. This is crap. Disappointed. Worse of all, my little ones were so excited but are now sad are crying.

    • A step backward….for two major reasons. I’m so mad at Apple!
I just got the 32G 7th Gen ipod, and I’m so disappointed!!! Two major reasons. 1). My 4th Gen ipod is also 32G but has 30.5G of FREE MEMORY! The new 7th Gen ipod ios is so bloated …the ios is a massive 9.5G! That’s almost 1/3 of the entire capacity! Totally stripped, I have 22.5 of memory left for songs. 2). Apple must be worried about lawsuits, because at max. Volume it can BARELY BE HEARD through my radio. I checked all the volume and EQ settings, and still, my 4th gen ipod touch is literally….and I MEAN LITERALLY twice as loud! I played the same song back to back through the same radio and my original ipod was so much louder and sounded so much better. Apple must be worried about dummies listening to their overpriced earbuds too loud and suing for hearing damage. FU Apple! I’m old enough to control my volume! I wasted $229 on the last gen ipod to be made. I look forward to my SD card arriving and putting it in my Samsung and having every song I own in one device at a volume I can control. If you have to buy one try to find the 128G but don’t be surprised that you can hardly hear the music. ... show more

Bought this as an early gift for my nephew’s birthday. He was extremely excited and happy. We did have a couple issues though, like a day or two after I gave it to him, it slid off his bed onto the carpet, and the screen suddenly went white. (The bed was less than a foot off the ground and he had a heavy duty case on the iPod.) He was devastated, thinking it broke, and I was pissed thinking I’d just spent my money on a hunk of junk, but I looked it up and apparently, it’s a fairly common issue amongst newer generation iPod touches. Held down all the buttons to do a hard reboot, and when we turned it back on, the home screen had returned, but flickered white around the edges. I told him to wait a day and if it was still flickering, I’d send it back, but by morning, it had righted itself. There was also a hitch about a week later where the same thing happened, but the screen went black and wouldn’t turn back on. Hard reboot fixed it; no flickering this time. It has been running fine since then, but that little scare made me slightly skeptical on the build quality. We will see if there are any more problems over the coming months, but it seems to be fine. ... show more
