Like many others have stated. Cool and comfortable boots but not durable for real work or even real bike riding. These soles have a hole in them after only 3 months of kick starting my yz250f. I love that they are waterproof; however, they are not durable enough for real work or even kick starting a motorcycle. These boots have been reliable since the day I bought them for my husband. The composite toe doesn't feel weighty like steel, and the large square toe offers plenty of space. I've worn them through dirt, damp grass, and lengthy workdays without a single leak since they are completely waterproof. Even after spending hours on my feet, the AG8 footbed remains remarkably pleasant, and the outsole provides good traction on slippery areas. He values the non-metallic design and electrical danger rating since they make them lighter and more workable. I wear a 9.5EE in red wing. I can get away with an E or generous D in some boots. These came in as a 9.5 D and they feel like an E to me. The square toe box and como toe allow a bit more room than my Arita’s or Red Wing Pecos. I can wear these with thin socks and they feel fine size wise. But if I step up to a work sock, like a darn tough steely it makes me wish I’d gotten a 10 wide. But with thin socks they feel fine. First observation was how flat feeling these are. The heel is much lower than my other boots. These feel more like a roper with a wide square toe. After a few minutes of acclimating they were more comfy than I thought they’d be while standing. While walking is when the magic happened. The out sole is super hard, wear and slip resistant. I didn’t realize the midsole was super thick cushy foam. After my first few steps I didn’t hear the sound boots make normally on the woods floors here and to my surprise the layer between the “welt” and the outsole is all foam. They’re surprising soft underfoot while walking. These are fully lined which I’m not used to, but it’s a nice feel and feels a bit plush but I’m not sure how long the lining will last or stay water resistant. I used the term “welt” earlier but this has what I believe to be a fake 270 welt. It’s plastic and moves with the sole and appears to be not securely attached to the boot in a couple places. But with a foam sole and lots of synthetic materials I kinda expected that to happen. Especially for the price. The style is what I expected. Square toed western style work boots. They look good for a work boot. But the foam sole and wide toe box was a pleasant surprise and I’ll likely be wearing these more often than I thought for work. Also, these are incredibly light compared to my Ariats and Red Wings. Break in time will be I much faster in these too. Bottom line these are worth a try. If you wear thick socks then size up 1/2 a size and you should be fine. ... show more
