After we figured out the best way to throw it was holding it by the center of the parachute, then we added a smooth rock as a backpack to add additional weight, it works much better than what I had as a kid.

So I bought these for my son on March 23, 2021 after going through many other similar parachute toys that would just tangle and fall apart. These have last over 2 years! The one pictured is the first to break, the seam came apart. They have not tangled once, the little guys stayed attached and intact, and we've have so much fun with these. We toss them into the air outside or throw them off the top of the stairs on rainy days. We even had one survive several months stuck on the roof and one survive being gobbled up by the sweep up at the bottom of the pool. I highly, highly recommend if you're tired of wasting money on crappy parachute toys that don't last more than a day. ... show more

Used to get a smaller version that tangled up when I was a kid. It had a bunch of sewing sized thread strings that would tangle and rip through the parachute. These don't tangle up and they can be thrown pretty high. The plastic Parachute guys is heavier too. Kids love catching them as they fall. I would recommend for backyard or park fun. ... show more

These are definitely much bigger than expected making it a little harder to throw and play with but we still get a lot of play out of it especially if the weather is windy and it just blows away.
