The only thing intact on this unit is the zip tie holding the reel on… and you’re supposed to remove that before use. Rod was snapped - Reel handle is bent and reel pieces laying inside packaging. Bummed I have to waste the gas to return what should just be thrown in the trash.

Apparently Pfluger makes two models of this reel. This is not the president reel that you see for $69 stand alone. When I open the box and noticed there is no quick release trigger I was disappointed but thought that’s OK, the combo price was really good. But then the spool release button on the side of the real was not functioning. I still think it’s a decent combo for $70, but I didn’t feel like taking my chances on getting another defective or broken product so I returned it and will buy something locally. ... show more
