    • Not a Minn Kota but does what you expect for the price.

The two props that come with the TM don't do well going through light vegetation. I constantly have to go high-speed forward and reverse to get the stems and leaves off. Even on low the unit is loud. It pushes my 11.5' Jon boat okay and uses the same amount of power my Minn Kota did on speed #3. The height adjustment screw is a real pain to turn tight enough especially when transporting in the horizontal position with the handle sideways while running the gas outboard or on the trailer. Update: Had some old Minn Kota props laying around with slightly larger blades. Worked like a charm in weeds and pads and I get more power, especially in reverse. ... show more

Bought this to replace the existing motor on my bass boat, and must say that it fits great. It doesn't drain much battery but gives some good power and gets up to speed quick. Easy twist handle makes it simple to operate. And it works just as intended.

    • Unreliable At Best! Buyer Beware
I purchased this trolling motor to use with my intex excursion 5. I thought this motor would do the job PLUS give me a little more power being 46lb thrust. You get what you PAY for! This motor vibrated so bad past fwd speed 2 and reverse speed 1, I reached out to amazon to return item after THE FIRST USE. The seller refused to pay for shipping which he was obligated to pay also refused to accept the item back even after a full refund was determined. The fact the seller ddidnt even want the item returned lets you know its trash. Buy at your own RISK!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Buy a MK and pay more $ its worth it in the long run. ... show more
