I use this with the Petzl Verso for lead belaying. My partner uses the Black Diamond ATC and Rocklock screwgate carabiner. He's a lot bigger, longer than I am. I'm a petite climber so I wanted something more compact. I've used his setup and it still works fine with me but I have to extend my arms out a lot. Not as comfortable. This setup is slightly more compact than the BD. Both the Petzl carabiner and the ATC are slightly smaller/shorter than the BD. I like the look of the Petzl stuff better too... looks better designed and better quality. The visible red strip when unlocked is great, which the BD doesn't have. ... show more
