Description

The Petzl Am'D is a lightweight asymmetrical aluminum carabiner with a D-shape that is particularly suited for connecting equipment such as descenders or positioning lanyards. Okay I'll admit I don't really like twist-lock carabiners but I bought this one because one saved my butt once - up on a single rope. I use it as a keychain holder which I know is overkill but it reminds me everyday, of how it saved me one time on a single rope Rappel about 30 meters up. It is always best to have all or most of your gear on you at all times when doing any rope work. I will never forget that day because of my fancy key holder.
