Maybe its just me perhaps in certain situations it would be useful but to me and for my uses the whole Triaction gate is just a pain. I have never had a situation it would have prevented and its just not what I'm used to. Its also listed as being "gray" in color, no its silver, very shiny, not particularly impressed. Just great operation, the oval shape accomadates a prusik, hitch climber, and rope wrench. Also you need one for the zog zag :) There might be better biners out there but this is what I learned on and love.

I bought this for saddle hunting where I use Kong Duck Ascenders and I bought some other oval carabiners from Amazon that were very heavy and wouldn’t rotate all the way through. This one checked all the boxes for me, lightweight and fully functional rotating all the way through Kong Duck!!

Ive used this carabiner to hold my weight plus a chainsaw. I've used it to swing tree branches that weighed several hundred pounds. If you leave the screw lock gate screwed down it's quick to deploy, and once it's set up you screw the gate lock up and you know for sure it isn't going anywhere.
