I wore pro-keds as a youth and wore out pair after pair playing street football and skateboarding. The new pro-keds look and feel exactly as I remember them. I wear a size 9 and these (in 9) fit fine. The finish is ... well, perfect. No unglued seams or crooked stitching. I've only worn them a couple times but as soon as I put them on I feel like running and jumping. They added a small tab on the tongue to slide the laces through to keep the tongue in place. It's a nice touch. I don't remember the ones from the '70s having that. The toe area is generous and allows your toes to spread a little if you jump or tiptoe, while not being loose when standing. They are cute casual sneakers. They are the same feel as a Converse so I got them a half size bigger and put a squishy arch insole in them. The price stings but everything is still expensive these days regardless of where it is made.

Wow, always talked about this brand. Retro all the way, back to the 70's . Converse vs Pro Keds, the price difference made Converse a more popular choice, but those who could afford this brand were at a different level. So, I had both to fit in with my friends. Now, about the shoes, great material and workmanship. The sole as before and they fit as expected, will be ordering a white pair soon.
