Im a little upside down on this guy. I mean it a Petzl product but I hate the way the gate opens. I get it, there is just about a ZERO % chance you will inadvertently open the gate but it works(in my gray matter upside down). The company does real safety certifications (some cheap imports are just stamping a label but may not do real testing or have reliable quality design, manufacturing and materials). The product I received is consistent with other PETZL PPE I use in my work. Gear can fail under stress, but a different type of failure and maybe the worst failure is a freak malfunction of a gate lock due to interaction with other components of a system - I've experienced that with other brands and locker types but never with PETZL. ... show more
