Like most of us, I have had several hand-held and backpack pump sprayers. They work but they are annoying as ever. I purchased the HD2000-S after viewing a wide swath of electric sprayers via YouTube. Those reviews were from homeowners and professionals and in the end...I settled on the HD2000-S from PetraTools. My sprayer was shipped from PetraTools and arrived via USPS without any issues, and in about 4 days. The sprayer I ordered was the HD2000-S ProKit which comes with additional spray heads and gloves. The standard HD2000-S comes with two spray tips which are likely sufficient for most home use. The gloves in the ProKit are probably Large, did fit my hands but did not permit much flexing. Gloves will be great for smaller hands. I wanted the ProKit for the extra nozzles more so than the gloves anyway, I have plenty of rubber gloves already. Included in the box, to my surprise, was plumbers' tape to use for the threads for the hose-to-tank and hose-to-wand connections. I was also pleased to find the battery is a small SLA, sealed lead acid battery that is charged with the included battery charger. I prefer the simplicity of the SLA battery over lithium batteries and am glad PetraTools chose the SLA for the HD2000-S. There is documentation that comes with the sprayer, assembly is straightforward for anyone that is a home handyman, or simply able to reason and think through putting the few pieces together. After a few minutes of plumbers' tape, the hose and wand were assembled and the tank was ready for a battery charge. The lid has a groove for an O-ring you will need to install, simple to do. The O-ring appears to be high quality and up to the task. I am particular about rubber O-rings so I lightly coated the O-ring with a food-grade silicone grease from SuperLube. This will protect the O-ring and keep it pliable. Probably not needed but...I am particular about O-rings. Also included was a bag of flat washers to use between the wand and hose. I primed the pump as indicated in the online videos and all went well. I am not sure I needed to prime the pump...but might as well follow the instructions. I mixed up two gallons with a weed killer and went to work. I chose to hand-carry the HD2000-S as opposed to using the included shoulder strap. I flipped on the motor and began spraying. It did not take long at all to spray the backyard and side yard. I mixed up another batch of weed killer and went off to do the front and another side yard. What a relief to do a yard without needing to stop every two minutes and hand-pumping a sprayer. The unit is very quiet, vibration-free and effective in getting the herbicide down. The wand has a trigger with a safety latch and you can stop and move around the yard to another spray area without turning off the unit. The HD2000-S sealed well and there were no leaks at the top of the tank, and no leaks at the hose-to-tank or hose-to-wand connections. Remember to use the plumbers' tape...it does have a purpose. I called PetraTools several times with questions, mostly curiosity-type questions, and to offer a few suggestions. Both times, tech support was helpful and on one call, I left a message to return a call and Jake from PetraTools called me back. He was very helpful and courteous and took note of my suggestions. All in all, the PetraTools HD2000-S is an excellent buy, and an excellent electric sprayer for at least the home user. Frankly, professionals could use it as well for small yards and spot treatments. I have no reservations about recommending the HD2000-S over other electric sprayers. I like the HD2000-S enough, that I will order the one-gallon HD1000-S to use for spraying for pests in the basement and interior of the house. ... show more

For a few years Creeping Bentgrass has, well, been creeping in my once lush lawn. With the help of my local botanic gardens was able to identify the plant and got the formula for a fix. I wanted a way to spray without pausing for pumping. The Petratools HD2000-S allowed me to spray 4,400 square feet in 20 minutes with 2- 2gallon tankfuls and with a precision fan spray (that my neighbors’ flower beds appreciated, no doubt). The blue marker dye and surfactant for the Mesotrione are a must. I had a small technical glitch before starting and called Petra. Rather quickly Jake C., the chief engineer called back and we fixed the problem and he offered some friendly advice about nozzles and chemicals. Nice fella. Many companies boast about customer support. Petra delivers. Already my neighbors have had me do some spraying for them. Sure you can buy a $20 cheapie pump sprayer but considering how much labor and materials go into a good lawn each year the HD2000-S is a low-cost investment. I’m a serious M12 and M18 user and ALL my lawn machines are electric. Now I got a sprayer that fits right in with my kit. Petra is first rate. ... show more

Not no youngster anymore the ease to use this was fantastic. Bought it about month ago. To windy and humid for me to use. But, today was great first time using. Following instructions was a breeze the booklet told you everything to do before use and after. Easy peasy .. Hard for me to walk bad knees I am gonna get riding mower out and drive it to where I want to spray next. This will work like a charm for me. Today, I sprayed weeds in my lake. Yard weeds are next!! Got away from me this year. No pumping was great quite running also. ... show more

Wonderful product! Easy to assemble, refill, recharge and use! I have only used it for about a week this past April, when I needed to kill off all the vegetation in my back yard with a "killer" spray solution that lasts about a year. I have done this for at least a decade, since I don't want anything growing in my walled-off back yard. This product was a vast improvement over using an old-fashioned tank sprayer with a hand pump. I was able to strap this sprayer's tank into my garden cart, so I didn't have to lug it around on my back. That worked great! I will eventually have to "refresh" this killer application sometime this Fall, when temps drop again in Arizona. Next Spring I also envision using it again for "pop-up" weeds in my front yard. I have used pump-up tank sprayers all my life and grew tired of them losing seal and having to pump every few seconds. I purchased this sprayer to apply pest control around my house and cottage and it actually makes this task fun. It has enough power to spray up into the 12 foot high overhang on my porch where spiders love to build their webs. It also sprays a wonderful pattern to cover a 3 foot strip around the house in just one pass. I have yet to get to the end of the battery after several uses. And it is made in the US. I would give this more stars if I could. Over the years I’ve spent a lot of time and $ on pump sprayers. This one was more $ than I wanted to spend. I in south Florida and now that I have this one I can get through the chore in no time at all and get back in AC. Didn’t need the directions to figure out how to put it together. Plumbing tape is included to put on the connections. Charged it much quicker than I expected. Light change color when it was fully charged. There is excellent spraying power with this so I was able to get much better coverage on foliage than I ever have before. I’m considering getting another one for using just herbicide in.
