We actually bought two of these. One for the bedroom and one for the living room. Pup sleeps and takes nap in it all the time. Nice and roomy and vent holes provide good circulation. We had no issues putting the crate together. Also really like that the door can open from the left or the right. Has come in handy a few times, especially when we put the crate in the car for some small trips. One note, do keep in mind the dimensions are how it measures on the outside with those little edges sticking out. So we did need to go up a size larger than what we thought. We kept the original for the bedroom since pup will just be sleeping all the time in that, but felt we should get one size up for when he may need more room. ... show more

This is a really nice kennel that we got for when need to take our dogs to the vet. It is the 36” size. We have 2 kennels in the larger 40” size in a different model by Petmate, which has been great for crate training the puppies who are now 10 months old and over 50-60 lbs. but that size didn’t fit in our Subaru Outback hatch opening. I would give it 5 stars but like many people the assembly was initially difficult. The top and bottom sides didn’t line up even with two of us pressing them together, however it went well by turning the kennel upside down so we could see what was going on in the grooved latches. The latches slid together and screw holes all lined up! Teamwork was also a help. I didn’t have to return the kennel after all! Our car is too small for two kennels and we have to take the puppies one at a time for well care and spaying (weren’t thinking of that when we got 2 cute little puppy siblings) but that is our fault for getting such a big breed. We are happy with this kennel and relieved we can get it in our car. It also has tie down holes on the corners if that is needed. ... show more

My little dog rides in this crate when we go anywhere in the car. Her previous crate had no holes in the bottom so if she wanted to see out, she had to sit up. With this crate, she can lay down but still keep her eye on me. The crate was a little difficult to put together but once together, it stays together. I love the little knob closure because there is less chance of the metal tearing my car seats compared to the previous crate. It is a shame hardly anyone makes this closure any longer. It is also very convenient that you can open the door from either direction. It is light enough to be easy to carry but heavy enough that I feel like my girl is fairly secure in it. ... show more
