The media could not be loaded. This machine is a great value. It started up right away and performs well... only slight inconvenience is the choke is confusing. On most engines the arrow indicates which way you move the choke lever. In this case the arrow is just telling you where the choke is and you are actually pulling it in the opposite direction of the arrow to turn the choke on. You have to read the small print where it says "start" and "run" other than that this machine is great ... show more

Very well built, easy to start, easy to maneuver, and basically propels itself even up a slight incline. Machine really is of respectable quality as others mentioned. In my area, the Amazon purchase price was very close to the weekly rental price at the local equipment rental store. I had planned to sell it after my concrete slab project, but it compacts gravel driveway so well I will probably keep it for that purpose. It is also surprisingly fuel efficient compared to a mower or pressure washer of similar engine size. Definitely a worthwhile investment. ... show more

This machine works well starts well and runs well but is difficult to use on anything that is not level. I’ve been trying to use it on a pad with road base material but with small rises of 3” or more it is hard to move it up the rise other than that it works good. After using it for one month I have had no issues using it almost daily I can say it works as advertised. ... show more

I am a small excavation company and I bought this when the cost to rent one at my local rental place was about the same as purchasing for how many days I needed it for. The user manual says this, but you must put oil into the engine first, luckily the motor has some.sort of low oil sensor and it will not start without it. It's heavy but the handle flips so you can push or pull the machine depending on the work area. It has a eye hole at the top, which I put a threaded chain link on so I can hook it up to the tractor pucket and lower it into excavation sites. Really happy with my purchase so far. Only thing where there is room for improvement is that the oil filler is so angled its hard to put in oil with out it spilling over the fill neck but that's small engines for you. Also the handle grip is just soft foam that is easy to rip but it doesn't bother me, doesn't effect the performance of the machine. ... show more

Put down about 30 tons of asphalt grindings and used this to compact it all. Estimate I did about 2000 sq ft and no problems. It was on a slope, so had to manually pull it up hill sometimes and it does leave a raised line of material when you turn it or are going across the slope due to the non rounded edges of the bottom compacting plate sides, but I just drove over it with my SUV and leveled them all out. The media could not be loaded. Used this 3 times. Performed well for the first 2 uses. On the 3rd use, it broke down. I took apart and inspected/cleaned the carburetor, cleaned the air filter, confirmed the gas tank was clean, and finally ran the engine without the belt attached. The engine is running strong, without issue. When I got to the the vibration assembly, I found that the bearings appear to have disintegrated. The assembly is very loose. When trying to run the machine, the vibration assembly is "working against" the engine, which is preventing me from getting it running properly. @Wen, please send me the replacement parts (https://wenproducts.com/products/vibrating-assembly-56035-023?_pos=36&_sid=049032e74&_ss=r) and I will consider amending my review. ... show more

Ordered and was here the next day. Filled with Oil, Fuel after assembly. installed an hours meter. Started on the 3rd pull, and put it to work. Shut it off after the 2nd hour , let it cool down , then resumed. Started on the first pull, packed total of 12 yards 5/8 minus gravel. Good deal for the money. Moving without wheels not an issue , as i use a hand truck. I have checked out the mods to weld nuts to it and use wheels and spindles ( removeable when in use), and may do that once the warranty is up. Excellent value and has already paid for itself over renting. A++++ And thrifty on fuel! ... show more

I put some road base down and compacted it before my metal building was erected. It worked great. Trying to compact topsoil or clay, not so good. For that you would need a rammer or sheepsfoot roller.
