Edit: I was contacted by Petlibro and offered a refund but instead asked for a replacement. The replacement toy came and after ensuring it was properly charged I turned it on and set it lose. The new toy is faster and rolled all over the place. I watched my cats play and chase it around for about 20 minutes; at this point I was satisfied that the original one I bought is defective. I had to leave for work and I noted that the new toy was under one of my plants at the front of my house. Thirteen hours later after getting home from work I went to get the mouse and recharge it but it wasn't in the living room under the plant. After a rigorous search I found the toy in my bedroom under the bed. This surprised me because when I went to pick it up the wheels started spinning. This one deserves 5 stars and is great if you don't get a defective one. More than worth the cost, my Bengal and my rescue love chasing it around the house. I gave it 4 stars on sturdiness because when the battery is freshly charged this little toy hauls butt across hardwood floors and bounces off of walls and furniture. My Bengal loves it, it's great for him to chase but then the battery runs out which frustrates him. It only gets 1 star for durability and value for money because after a very short time (less than 5 minutes) it dies and needs to be recharged. Skip this and find a different one. I have been looking for something similar now that has better battery life.

The media could not be loaded. My cat is constantly looking for new ways to amuse herself #gettingintotrouble. She climbs on furniture and cabinets, plays/chews on power cords, knocks over everything on the shelves just in case there's something good to play with hidden among all my mundane objects. She loves to play with toys attached to fishing poles, but I don't always have to the time to amuse her. She likes small "prey" and this toy is about the right size (maybe a little big). Pros: Rechargeable Random movement pattern and the speed Small size (not too big to be intimidating) It provides about 10-15 of engagement during which time my cat isn't getting into stuff she shouldn't be Reasonable price Cons: It needs to be recharged frequently It gets stuck a lot on cords and other obstacles in the house It doesn't have a trailing tail for cats to chase or grab onto (I added a red satin ribbon to the tail which seems to make it more interesting to my cat)

My cat loves this toy! It is wild and runs all over the house, bouncing into everything. Perfect toy for cats who aren’t able to go outside. My cat gets good exercise in the house. The only downside is I have to look for it once the battery is dead and it does get stuck in awkward places. Great toy for the money!

My cat was OBSESSED with this toy. Literally obsessed. Because the charge doesn’t last very long, I was considering buying another so my now-demanding cat would always have one fully charged. BUT I thought it might be smart to wait a bit and see how the toy held up, and I’m glad I did, because in less than 3 months the wheels were popping off and not staying on when I put them back on. It’s a design flaw. They just wear loose and then won’t stay on and the toy just spins in place. I wish this toy were more durable because my cat LOVED it sooooo much. But I won’t be spending another $25 for a toy that can’t go 3 months. Super disappointing. I should add that my cat wasn’t super aggressive with the toy. He just batted it a little but mostly chased it everywhere and watched it. If your cat likes to chew and attack, I feel like it might have an even shorter life span. UPDATE: Petlibro reached out wanting to make it right and sent me a gift card and refunded the price of the toy to allow me to order another one. It has arrived and my cat loves it. Here's hoping this one lasts longer. I added another star to my review for their customer service and I hope this toy is more durable. FINAL update: slightly one month after receiving the second toy, the wheel popped off last night and won’t stay on. I added a 3rd photo and you can see how the plastic is cracked in the wheel holder. I’m really sad to report that the 2nd one had a shorter life span than the first because wow does my cat love this toy. They’ve done a great job coming up with realistic motions and keeping the cat’s interest. Hopefully they will solve the wheel issue at some point.
