I’ve had a few different styles and brands of carriers over the years and this is the best one that I’ve tried. I ordered the large size as most cat carriers always seem small even though my cat is on the smaller side. This one offers her a ton of space. You can see her sitting inside in one of my photos and she barely takes up half of the carrier. There’s two different openings, one in the front and one on the top. The zippers are separate from the frame so when you unzip either one, the carrier still keeps its shape. Due to the larger size of the carrier, the openings are bigger as well. My cat is able to walk into the carrier rather than crawl. Very breathable! Both sides have thick, durable mesh as well as the front door. My cat seems very comfortable going in and out or even laying inside, she’s able to see everything around the carrier as well as getting light inside. The carrier has multiple feet on the bottom and an insert for the floor inside. The insert is thick to offer a hard, even floor. The only issue I’ve found in this carrier is that the cover for the insert is a bit large. It has Velcro on the bottom to stay in place but tends to slide around and bunch up at the top. There’s also a harness clip which I rarely see on other carriers. The handles are well made and there’s a recoverable strap as well. The back pocket is roomy and has a zipper to secure anything inside. I also love that there’s an ID pocket. In the past I have clipped tags onto carriers but this offers a more elegant look. At $40, I think this carrier is well worth the price for the quality and features that you get in return. This is the first carrier that my cat has ever been fully comfortable in.

We recently adopted a cat, and the only carrier we had was a much larger hard-shelled small dog kennel crate, which was enough to get her home from the shelter, and later to the vet and back, but is really too big for a small cat, and very awkward to manage. This carrier is just the right size for a domestic cat. It came with the sides unzipped and "collapsed" into a very flat compact package, with the floor stiffener also able to fold in half to accommodate that process. I was surprised at the quality of materials and construction here. I sort of expected this to be "okay" - not necessarily shoddy, but also not necessarily great, but so far I think I have to lean towards saying this is really pretty good. All of the stitching is sound, the zippers are robust, the ripstop nylon is ripstop nylon, etc. It has several portals, one on the side and one on the top, plus each side wall also unzips; if you unzip both of them then you can flatten it. I don't know what it would be like for a small dog. I can imagine a chihuahua or pomeranian, but I'm not sure I would personally try putting any larger dog than that into this carrier.

A couple of my other cat carriers didn't fare well during travel because the mesh netting was too thin. My kitty, chewed through one part of it creating a hole. Then when I saw this Pet Marvel Pet Carrier had upgraded theirs with reinforced materials I jumped on it. It's made with thickened textilene mesh that's bite & scratch-resistant. I really like that as it allows a good amount of visibility and breathability for my kitty. I opted for the large size for more comfortable car travel and going out and about. My kitty really likes it, which is wonderful! I leave the mesh door open and she goes in it and sleeps off and on. It is made really well in all aspects. And because they upgraded the mesh material I highly recommend it.

I ordered the larger size and it’s huge. I do think my cat will like being able to turn around without having to contort herself. It’s nicely made and folds away nicely. I will leave it out for a while for her to get used to it, but I like the option of folding and tucking it away.

I love this pet bag and I was really impressed with the quality. It's spacious and it is sturdy, big enough for multiple small cats and perfect for the bigger cat. Well-made and the zippers and Velcro are very strong. It came flat in a box but it was easy to assemble. A must have.

The carrier is well made, and durable. The interior is a soft and cozy "nest". The mesh & materials are chew resistant, but a determined dog could and would be able to scratch or chew through if left unsupervised, I'm pretty sure. But the other deterrent is how tightly they fit inside of the carrier, there isn't a lot of room left for them to scratch, chew or move around. Our pups love it inside, they seem to feel safe and secure - they'll sometimes climb in on their own to nap, or if they're feeling threatened. The strap is very convenient for travel,, the pad is easily removeable and cleaned. It fits under the plane seat, and there's enough mesh to help the dog feel like they aren't closed in or trapped. Very convenient to have!
