These are the BEST carriers around. Just get it. You don't need the extra base one so save the $. This one has loops you can feed the seatbelt through. Every vet I go to, I have a lot, LOVE this. Every tech is like I want this for me!! It is 360 mesh so the cats can see out. I thought they would be scared but they love it. The top flaps open half way on both sides and then if you press the handle connector at the base it will release and the whole top will fold to one side fo easy lifting and carrying out pets that are bigger, feisty, or laying down (injured). I have an 18lb Maincoon and a 14 lbs orange tabby and both fit well in the biggest one. They can even lay down comfortably and stand up! The inside bottom has a small mat, no cover, so I wrap with a puppy pad if I have an injured or cat that may have an accident. I have even fit a toss blanket in there for the 14 lbs tabby. As I mentioned they hook into the seat belt by wrapping the belt around in the holes to keep it in place. The only thing that I wish was better but may not be able to is the handle opening. The top is connected to the handle from the base of the handle to almost the top. So where you see the handle pad, that is the width you have to hold, so you can't put this on your forearm if you wanted to and it's awkward to lift up by just the wrist (though I have bad wrists), so it's really just hold it down at your side. The handle is super comfy and Ive just worked around it. I bought 2! They even like it as a bed. I even went to a restaurant that allowed dogs so they were ok with us with our at in the carrier after the vet and it looks like a baby carrier and fit in the booth seat. Oh also it came collapsed! So you can un Velcro the sides so this can lay flat for storage! The only thing this can't do is fit under and airplane seat or be on your back haha! ... show more

THIS IS AMAZING!! CARIER SIZE : There is lots of movability access for him to sit up and turn around comfortably. My cat TUXEEDO is a big boy weighing at 12 pounds. All the carriers that I have looked at are no where as big as this. STABILITY : It’s really sturdy! I don’t feel like it will collapse at all. The clasped are made of plastic but it’s not cheap plastic. It’s very secure. ALSO SUPER EASY TO WORK! STYLE : Every time I bring him to the vet people always ask about it because it’s so cute. I do wish it came in more colors or styles but that’s honestly the only thing I don’t like. I’ve given several people the information to buy this carrier. So lots of people after seeing it first hand want this carrier! HIS VETS OPINION : Tuxeedos vet loves it a lot! Here’s a summary of some things his vet has said about the carrier. She says the fact that you can push the top down and access tux from all angles is great. It keeps him in a safe environment while also allowing her to care for him without moving him from it. We have a new puppy that we are transporting for about an hour and a half ride a couple times a week. We already had a bucket car seat but even though the puppy was attached she would claw to jump out of the sides and practically choke herself. It was very distracting to drive and she was very unhappy! We wanted a car carrier but also something that would serve as a safe car seat. This car carrier is perfect because it does both. It attaches very securely by seatbelt. We put her in it the first time and she cried for about 1 minute and then realized there was no way to get out and just enjoyed the ride. We think she feels safer and secure in there because we have used it multiple times and she seems to love it. She either plays in it or just curls up and goes to sleep. She doesn’t cry or try to get out at all. She can see everything around her and the mesh is very strong. We couldn’t tell from the picture if the quality would be good but it actually is a very good quality. When she is a full grown 15 lbs I think we will still be able to use it. The height is nice so the puppy can stand and not just have to lay down. We really like the quick opening button release and hope that it stays working properly. The only reason we gave it four stars instead of 5 is the fact that when you lift up either side to take puppy out, it falls right back down. (You can see this in my video) So the puppy can never really sit in it with one or both sides open. They really should have made some kind of Velcro or something in which you could have it open as they show in their photos. If I get time, I will try to fashion something. Although this is inconvenient and disappointing, it is not a deal breaker as everything else about this is great. One other thing to note, there are two metal bars that go across the bottom and you have to pull them out and attach to Velcro. I tried and tried but couldn’t do it as they wouldn’t seem to move in place. My husband finally got it in the right place but it wasn’t easy. We got this in Navy. It's well made, easy to assemble and collapse. Very easy to open and then place Kitty inside. Best of all our kitty did not hiss, growl, bite or fight to stay out of it. She was perfectly content. 😃 I'd double the stars if I could.

I get compliments and questions about this carrier every time I use it. It is very easy to put together, and collapses when not in use for easier storage. It is very big and makes getting your pets into the carrier so much easier. Literally the best purchase I made for my King Charles. I brought him home in this as a puppy 5 years ago! He has since used this crate every single day and I have traveled with him across the country and was able to seat belt buckle him in for safety. It’s easy to travel with him in the car and he absolutely loves this. It’s mobile and light and it’s his go-to place that he feels comfortable in and sleeps in daily. Even after 5 years it is still in great condition! It’s easy to move around since it has a top handle. It also breaks down flat if you need to store it. It’s super cute and I love that he has head room when he sits in it. Plus I can latch it down on both sides to keep him from getting out if needed. It’s super breathable and I can open one side for him to jump in and out as a bed. Make sure to fully latch both sides though to secure your pup, as sometimes I have latched one side and not the other (even though it is down) and he will sneak his way out. I would recommend a fluffy pillow and a small soft blanket but other than that, I have been so grateful for this crate/bed and luckily even after 5 years this thing holds strong! this is the best carrier i could imagine, so happy i found this! my cat is pretty big.. right under 15lbs and it was impossible (and very uncomforable) trying to get her into carrier and to the vet. since i found this it’s beyond easy and i know she’s comfortable in there with room to move around but also secure and feeling safe. i usually put a blanket over the top to cover the sides as we’re driving & when carrying i always hold / support from the bottom because i don’t trust the velcro straps at all- seems pretty dangerous to be honest! if your cat is small this is probably too big unless filled with blankets on the inside. overall great carrier but a few things to be aware of and careful about when using. ... show more
