I installed it into a wall between the kitchen and the backyard, and I think it helped that the frame was adjustable because my wall is a little thicker than usual. Cutting into the wall took some planning, but once the hole was made, the door fit without needing a lot of fixing. I feel like the magnetic flaps are strong enough to stay shut when not in use, but easy for my dog to push through when he wants to go outside. I also like that there is a sliding panel I can use at night or when I am away. I find that my house does not get as cold near the door now, which is something I noticed with an old dog door we had before. The plastic material seems like it will last without showing much wear, even after weeks of daily use. My dog figured it out faster than I thought he would, and it makes the day a little quieter without him scratching or barking to be let out all the time.

This wall-mounted pet door is absolutely the best I've ever installed. From the durable PC frame to the telescoping channel that fits perfectly into the thick wall, every part of this product is well designed and built. We have a 50-pound Labrador who loves to go in and out of the yard all day long. This pet door gives him that freedom without me having to open and close the door countless times a day. The double magnetic flap doors open in a great way - they close securely to keep out cold air, but open easily when my dog pushes against it. It also reduces the amount of bugs or wind that can get in. This is very important to us. Installation was very easy. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the telescoping tunnel design allowed it to fit perfectly to the thickness of our walls. I'm not a very handy person, but I installed it myself in about an hour with some basic tools. The sliding locking plate is a great added feature - we use it at night or when we're out for added security. Very happy with the experience!!!

I just installed this pet door in the wall for my golden retriever, and overall, I’m quite pleased with it. I bought this large wall pet door to give my border collie easy access to our backyard, and it worked perfectly for our needs! Installation was very easy. The telescoping door opening is cleverly designed - it can accommodate different wall thicknesses with only a few cuts or adjustments. The installation instructions were clear and I installed it myself in about two hours. The workmanship of the door is excellent. The polycarbonate frame is very sturdy. Our dogs use it multiple times a day, and it has not warped, damaged, or come loose. One of my favorite features is the dual magnetic door panels. They close securely and automatically, which is great for keeping the house insulated. The door is the perfect size - big enough for my 35 lb dog to fit comfortably. It’s been a real help for our Corgi and Golden Retriever, letting them pop in and out during the day. The frame feels sturdy, like it’s built to last, and the PVC flap seals ok when the dogs aren’t using it. It blends in okay with our door. Now they can head out to the backyard whenever they want, and I don’t have to keep jumping up to let them in or out. Before, they would scratch up the door if I didn’t hear them wanting to come back inside, and it was getting messy. Now, they are happier, and I’m not dealing with scratched paint. At night, the locking clip secures it, and it feels sturdy.
