I shopped around for crates for a while and I was told by a friend that they had this same one that it was pretty good. As soon as I received the package I could hear the screws bouncing around. Once I opened it, I inspected all pieces and had to tear the box completely apart to find the missing screws. Sure enough there was a few pieces that had damage. One was the one that held the door from going all the way back. The other scratches were where the screws go in and the bottom piece had broken pieces. The instructions were easy to follow and it took me about 40 minutes to put it together. Everything was well labeled and pictures were very clear. Once I put it together it looked really nice my only problem is the door latch. Not strong and the sturdiness of the crate doesn’t seem sturdy. I will definitely have to come back after a month or so to update it. I have a pug and I feel like he will scratch it up or brake the door latch way too easy. ... show more

I have to rate chew proof low only if your dog isn't trained. The lock isn't very good but again if your dog like's being in there creat it's great. It look so much better then having ugly creats in my living room.

I have a chihuahua, with really bad teeth at that, and she was able to chew one of the bars almost completely within the first 2 days. It was easy to assemble, and does the job of keeping the dog in. Ours has a tendency to open wire crate doors, so that was a big plus. But if your dog chews AT ALL, I don’t recommend this crate. Ours is nearly useless and we’ve had it about a week. ... show more
