Love how these look in my home. Wire crates were an eyesore. They are so solid I’ve been using them as an extension of my desk. I bought 2 for my Boxers, although they frequently nap together in one of them (w/ plenty of room to spare). My Boxers can also stand inside and still have plenty of headroom even with their beds in there. REASON FOR 4 STARS INSTEAD OF 5: 1. Only issue I had was one of them the lock was slightly off so I have to push it to slide the bar into lock position. 2. If you have a separation anxiety dog, they may chew through the bars. My male Boxer did some chewing, but it’s only 2 bars and only slightly chewed. I was able to sand it smooth and cover the exposed wood with a furniture stain repair pen as it was only on the inside. He only did it when he first got it and apparently decided it wasn’t worth it so hasn’t touched it since. If you do have a chewer, the large wire crates fit inside of this wooden crate so you can still get the benefit of a furniture piece v. The wire eyesores ... show more

Luna my 1yr old Husky loves her new hide out! We don’t use it for containment, so I left the doors off for easy access. The perfect place for her to be able to see what’s going on, yet have the security she used to get from hiding under the chaise loung that she outgrew! My new puppy loved the crate, it provides some privacy and was the perfect size for my Samoyed name Blizzard. The pup went away to training for 6 week so I took the crate apart planning to move it into our bedroom upon Blizzards return. We messed up and lost the hardware (screws, dowels, etc.). I contacted the vendor to try to buy that hardware. Within one day the hardware was on it's way back to me along with instructions. When I tried to pay they declined. Where in the world do you get great support like that.. Thanks you Casual Home. I was able to get one from Amazon in used, very good condition. So glad I did! It was $128! Excellent value at that price. The top and bottom are solid wood, the slats and panels on the sides are thinner. But, there is good structural support for these around the outside. I think it isn't the hardest species of wood, so I am not sure about durability with respect to scratches. If your dog chews, I recommend pretreatment with anti-chew spray. Or, if your dog is resistant to anti chew spray, mix Vaseline with pepper and put onto surfaces they would most likely start chewing. Or, avoid any wood crate, and use a wire kennel. My girl is a 6 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback, and she chews, but not furniture or items treated with anti-chew spray. She likes her new digs!! I have both her wire kennel and this kennel available for her to nap. I haven't locked her in her new wooden kennel because I want her to like it before she has to stay in it. She doesn't challenge her wire kennel nor does she challenge fences, so I expect her to be totally fine in this. It matches my decor perfectly! ... show more

We got the XL crate for our big dog. It's very nice, roomy, and well built. It is a beautiful addition to the space instead of being an eye sore like the metal crates; it doubles as a (very large) side table for us. I was nervous it would be flimsy, but it's fantastic. I would definitely recommend it and I would buy it again. I love it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cons: I do not care much for the outer latch; it seems kind of flimsy and more decorative, but it works and would be easy to replace if needed. I put two memory foam bath mats sideways under the dog bed to keep the bottom of the crate in good shape until I can find some sort of plastic tray to protect the floor area (in case of accidents, sharp nails, or mud ~ not likely, but you never know). I would like the option to order it with a plastic tray of some kind for the bottom. It would also be nice if it had a glass top option to protect the finish; I am going to find someone locally to cut me some glass to prevent scratches. These are a few accessories that might make it perfect, but you can make do finding them on your own, too. Overall, wonderful product, and we really like the look and quality of the crate. ... show more

I read the reviews and knew what to expect. The package was damaged. One side panel had come lose. The screws and hardware were in a ziploc bag that had cuts on it so it was all over the packaging, two of the springs were missing. Both issues were simple fixes. Put some super glue on the side piece and pushed it back in, for the springs I only used the two on the top of the doors. Besides that it’s great, really big and perfect for my dogs. I plan to use this as a place of their own instead of being on the couch. If your dog is not completely crate trained I don’t recommend this or any wooden crate. ... show more

If I could put zero stars I would. We waited 2 weeks to unpack which is completely our fault. However we have a large breed dog. (German Shepherd) not even super crazy! Literally within a few days of her using this cafe she was able to shred to pieces and get out. This is extremely flimsy not strong material. Unless you have an elderly dog that doesn’t move a muscle any dog can easily get out. Now I’m stuck w loss of money and I’m throwing this in garbage. Even the bottom of this is excessively flimsy. When we put it together we almost stopped and went back. But I thought are dog is pretty chill and easy so no big deal! No it is a big deal completely waste of money do not buy! ... show more

I’m really glad I read the reviews AFTER I already purchased the product or I might not have followed through with it. The crate is large enough to fit both of my dogs (a German Shepard mix and an a bulldog), the color and quality is really nice too. It looks so much better than the wire kennels they had before. I got frustrated trying to find a similar product online and only finding ones for triple the price. This was a great price for a beautiful kennel, and easy to assemble. My dogs were kennel trained before this so I’m not having any issue with chewing or breaking the wood. I am beyond happy with this kennel! ... show more
