I actually captured/rescued a feral with this carrier and though he did his best to claw, bite and tear his way out of this thing, aside from having to give it a good wash after, the carrier was none the worse for wear. It would be a tight fit for a 20 pound cat, our 15 pound cat is uncomfortable. But our 7 pound cat fits quite comfortably and since I haven't put it away yet, which actually nap in the carrier. It also folds nicer and flat for easy storage (when I get around to it).

Have not used this crate to travel yet, but she loves it and goes in it to just sit and chill. Getting zipper around the corners was a bit tricky, but I managed. No noticeable sewing construction flaws viewed so far. Will it hold her upon picking up? Will the base cardboard bend or buckle? Remains to be seen... ... show more

The size is nice and it will do but but it's really not that sturdy. The corners/sides are not very stiff. I've had soft carriers that are made better, stronger - this would be okay for lightweight pets. Safety-wise, don't leave the pet alone in this carrier if it's sittting on top of anything - I imagine a pet could lean against the side and it would tumble. ... show more
