Easy to use and quick to install

These shades are fantastic. I'll give some highlights here: Pros: Easy to install. A single person can do it. Lightweight. Magnets at the top to secure the shade so it won't fall. Easy to pull the shades up and down, even if you're arthritic. Very stable. The tension tightening tool comes with the shades. The material feels high quality and the blackout is truly blackout. Cons: The only real con I have is that there is only one side that has the tension bar. It leaves a -slightly- wider gap on the right side than the left side. I don't think many people would notice it, but if these could be built with a tension bar on BOTH sides, I think that would make it easier to adjust, though you might need two people to install it. I bought these to replace -extremely- heavy 2" faux wood blinds. Even removing the extra slats, these blinds remained incredibly heavy and cracked the framing around the window trim (it's not a structural issue, just a drywall issue). Cleaning the blinds was also incredibly time consuming as each slat needed to be hand cleaned individually. Needless to say, I hate blinds. Installing these was very easy and I did it in about 20 mins. The magnets at the top keep the shades secure but not so secure you struggle to bring the top down if you want to use only the top part of your shades/window. I don't know how well they clean as I've only had them for a few days, but hopefully I'll be able to edit this review at a later date once I have to clean them. For the price and considering how expensive blackout shades can be, these are a surprisingly good value for the money and well worth getting if you're looking for something nice, inexpensive and blackout.

They are easily installed! Blackout is sufficient though not completely blacked out because light comes from bottom and side. But better than taping the black stuff to the windows. Fit is accurate!

Great Affordable Alternative to Expensive Custom Shades!

I’m so glad I found these Persilux blackout cellular shades. We were quoted around $400 to replace a similar window shade, so finding this option was a huge relief. Not only were they much more affordable, but honestly a better and easier solution overall. Installation was surprisingly simple since there were no tools or drilling required. It went up quickly and securely without any hassle. The cordless top down/bottom up feature works smoothly and gives great flexibility for privacy and light control. The blackout material does a great job blocking light, and the white color looks clean and modern in the room. They feel sturdy and well-made, especially for the price. If you need a replacement shade and don’t want to spend hundreds, these are absolutely worth it!

Perfect solution to old blinds

These are perfect to replace old blinds with a more contemporary look. We have 3 windows south facing that are very hot from sunlight. While these cellular blinds block all the heat, with the ability to go top down or bottom up we control the light. The fit was no problem and installation was a breeze! Our only wish is that these were adjustable on both sides, instead of only one. Regardless they worked out fine. As for as long term- no idea. These are as sturdy as the Levolor blinds I have in another room - which I have had 15 yrs. But this will be the first time we have cordless top down. As for value in price - three cost me 240.00. These were the only ones I could find on Amazon that were not considered “custom sizing”. The custom ones were much much more. Some reviews stated the strings show too much on the top down but ours are white and I did not find that to be disruptive. If these last a year in the Texas sun I will be ok with that!

These shades were SO easy to put up. They look really nice and block the light out very well. I like the top down, bottom up functionality of the shades. I certainly would purchase them again if I needed them for other windows. I found the price to be very reasonable for this quality product.

Great blackout cellular shades with no drilling!

I have two windows in my bedroom that needed blackout shades. I ordered one window shade to test it out. I installed it and it was pretty wonderful. So I immediately ordered the other one and it came in a couple days. They are both up and my room is wonderfully dark. It was really easy to install and I am super happy with the shades. I wish I knew about these two years ago when I moved into my place, but better late than never. They also move up and down very easily and smoothly. Love the top down/bottom up ability to adjust the shades. I highly recommend them!
