I was very hesitant to order roller shades. I was worried about them looking cheap. I am very pleasantly surprised! I ordered the creamy light filtering. The fabric looks a lot like the very expensive true linen Roman shades that I originally wanted. Since I needed 8 shades of varying sizes, I opted for something a wee bit friendlier on my wallet. I’m not disappointed. The install is EXTREMELY easy. It’s a one person job. I opted for inside the window frame install. I made it even easier on myself by cutting a small wood block to go in between the back of the metal bracket hanger and the window frame. This allowed me to get all 8 windows the exact distance I needed for the installed shade to sit inside the frame where I wanted it and have them all match. Simply hold the small block up against the window frame and then butt the back of the metal hanger up against it. Then you can accurately mark your drill holes while holding the hanger in place. There are plenty of screws and mollys sent with the blinds. I didn’t need the mollys since I was screwing the hangers into not only the wood casing the window, but also into the header above the window. Very solid application. Once the hangers are in place, just snap the entire shade into the bracket. Very smooth glide down and retract up.

I was hesitant to order sunshades from Amazon, even though most reviews were really good — I still had some worries about the quality. I just bought a new house with a giant living room window that came with custom-made blinds. The house is west-facing, so in the summer afternoons, I definitely need something to block the strong sun. However, the old blinds were hard to clean, got dusty easily, and honestly gave off an outdated vibe. Plus, whenever the sun wasn’t blasting through, I really wanted to enjoy the big window and the view — but pulling the heavy blinds up was a pain, and even when open, they still blocked part of the view. I finally pulled the trigger and ordered these light-filtering sunshades — and to my surprise, they are absolutely beautiful. The cream color gives a soft, neutral tone that blends perfectly with my decor. The fabric is linen-like, very pretty, and feels high-end. When fully raised (I shared photos of them all the way down, midway, and all the way up), they’re barely noticeable — giving me the maximum view I wanted. When down, they filter the light beautifully without making the room too dark. Considering the price (less than $180 for three shades for this huge window!), I honestly couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend it! 5 out of 5.

The "instructions" that come with it are not very helpful or well done. HOWEVER, this is without a doubt the easiest and fastest and most secure mounting of window shades I have ever done. I would recommend these simply because of this. I believe they will last longer than traditional blinds, even the no-string pull kind (which I had to replace after only 5 months because of broken strings).

Very easy to install. Even easier to operate. I like the fact that they just move up and down easily and don’t require a rope or those plastic twisty things to open and close. You just pull the blinds and they retract without folding. Very simple. I have a dozen other windows in my home that need blinds. I will definitely be ordering from here again.
