Love these blinds. I was replacing 25 year old green blinds. It’s been a long time since I needed to buy blinds! I wanted new blinds that used the old plastic square style brackets, and was lucky to find these in a color I liked. My wood framing already had the holds for the square brackets so we were able to just fix the new grey brackets to the spaces that the green ones had been in. We still used the center support bracket to make sure they were secure. I loce the ability to raise and lower the blinds without having the strings dangling down. My dogs often sit in the window and I always had to tie the strings up so they didn’t get tangled in them. The color is a perfect cool grey. I was dismayed to see that these relatively inexpensive blinds are no longer made in many colors. I mnow I could probably custom order something, but with pets in the hiuse, it is easier to just replace them if they get damaged. ... show more

It's a blind and for some reason it seems to be a lot more flimsier then they used to. I don't know if they are all made this way now but they need to be thicker.
