I really wanted to love this! We bought it to place on a bed that, although only 2 years old, was starting to become really uncomfortable. This mattress topper definitely felt comfortable at first and helped hide the bed springs we could previously feel, and it didn't flatten out right away (the way some toppers can). Unfortunately, I started noticing pretty bad back pain within a couple days of using this. I've never been one to have back pain, so I figured it was somehow the topper. Sure enough, the pain went away once the topper was moved to our spare bed. My husband, who is known to have back pain, actually didn't experience any pain from the topper. Everyone is different so while this didn't work for me, I recommend giving it a shot if you're looking for a decent topper that doesn't get too flat. ... show more

Super comfortable. Bought two of them for a king size pullout mattress. My mother came for a visit and used them and she said she hadn't slept so good in ages. They are extremely soft; 3 inches is pretty thick. We also purchased a 2 inch version to see which size was more comfortable. In the end, we thought they were dang near identical in comfort. Foam mattresses CAN get a bit hot though, as no matter what a company may claim, they definitely retain heat. I'd say this topper is just as comfortable as my Puffy brand mattress.     • Holes Do Not Prevent Heat

At first, you see the holes and think, "Wow! I never thought about that... That sounds like it will work!" Then, when you get it home, open up the package, place it on the bed, and put the sheets on. It feels the same as if there weren't holes. Why? When your body applies pressure to the topper and pushes against the bed, air cannot escape. So the holes litearlly do nothing at the end of the day. It's a sales gimmick and fools people into thinking it will do something extra. The other issue I had was that the holes easily rip. Simply getting in and out of the bed starts ripping the first row of holes. If you press on the bed as you get up, you're putting pressure on those areas with the holes, and it starts ripping. Overall, the price was pretty good, but the longevity and desired cooling isn't there. ... show more

I ordered this to replace another three inch memory foam mattress topper that was so warm to sleep on that I had to take it off during summer months. I put this new one on and in two out of four of the nights I've had it on, I've awakened too hot. Otherwise it has performed as I had expected a memory foam topper to perform, softening my medium to firm mattress to be more comfortable, but I am not sure I can keep it if I continue to feel so warm. ... show more

Glad I found the Goldilocks of mattress toppers. Sometimes you purchase these toppers and they have no support at all, but I am thrilled with the firmness level of this topper. Had a very slight new foam smell for the first week, but it went away after after that.
