I need to get a lot of notes in a small space in a lesson book I use every week. The usual fine point writing instruments would tend to become illegible when doing this. I had used the 0.5 for a while, and the quality was excellent, but did not lend itself to very small writing, so when I found the 0.3 I was interested. The 0.3 size is great. They write smoothly and don't skip. If it has been a few days, I find it best to make a mark on a separate piece of paper just to be sure they are ready to go. After that, they work very nicely. I’ve been having Pentel pens for a while but I’ve recently started using 0.3mm for 3 months now? quality of the pens are still very good! they’re pretty sharp at the end which is a lot different from their 0.5 counterparts (they kinda dull after a bit, or it could be how I write). the ink also doesn’t blotch! I didn’t experience any blotches with these pens the time I’ve been using them so they’re good so far :) ... show more

    • Very good pens for find work and they do not skip, leave blobs or smear
I like to take notes in very small hand written letters and with these pens I can run three lines inside of college ruled paper. All letters, including the tiny hole in the e’s are distinct and easy to read. All three colors glide smoothly over the paper, without digging in and even on thin Bible paper lay down the ink with a very light touch .
