This is one fine offshore boat rod with 9 eyes and a lot of backbone. It feels excellent in your hands, and is a joy to fish with. Mine is paired with a Penn Battle III 8000, spooled with 80lb braid. I paired this rod up with a Penn Slammer 6500 and they work excellent together. Pulled in a 20lbs yellowtail with no problems. I'm buying another set up for sure.
